It's a nice instrument, but you can hear a slightly ting of metal behind every note
Could be good for kids or others who want a soothing, peaceful sounding instrument
The kalimba comes in a small cardboard box with no padding, though one could argue that this is a pretty sturdy instrument and the small box prevents it from being crushed if it is shipped in a box containing other items
This is such a fun little instrument, I have a great time making up little tunes and great when my ADD acts up!!
Besides that, this is a great instrument that I highly recommend!

The sound for this little instrument is very nice, which surprised me
The sound is not very loud and the resonance on the outer keys is poor
I also noticed that there wasn't a whole lot of sustain when you bend the notes with your finger and the wah wah/bending note sound only worked for 2 of the notes
Good quality overall, pretty good sound considering the price, easy to play, fairly easy to tune
As a result any use of the un-tuned fork created an unpleasant buzzing sound
