In the tradition of...
The music for the various levels was appropriate and entertaining
With great graphics, good music, fun level design, and a fun (albeit extremely cheap at some points) challenge, I would recommend Crash Bandicoot to anyone who wants to play a fun, yet challenging game!
The graphics are ahead of our time, the music couldn't be better and the gameplay is something you can't get from any other game!
This game has very good graphics and music, but it has some mistakes
The great things about it are like, awesome graphics (which I am able to draw and make my own scenes!), cool music, and just really, really, really cool characters
Super Mario 64 may have been the innovator of 3D Platforming, but Crash Bandicoot blows that out of the water and into space
If you get three masks without losing one, you turn invincible for a brief time much like the Starman’s in Super Mario Bros
The first thing that stands out are the graphics, the graphics for 1996 looked fantastic, they were even better than Super Mario 64 on Nintendo 64 which was released a month later
Super Mario 64 may have been the innovator of 3D Platforming, but Crash Bandicoot blows that out of the water and into space
You can get more one ups by finding them across levels or collecting 100 apples which are basically the coins of Super Mario Bros, but the apples are everywhere in this
The game itself is a challenging, fast-paced platformer that moves fairly linearly
A decent ps1 classic but not really true 3d platformer like croc
Nasty difficulty spikes (the eight or so level should be closer to the end) and the 'one path to the end of a platformer' standard which Super Mario World truely broke when it came out take the one star out of this otherwise superb game
Crash Bandicoot is an great platformer game but not the best one
It's an excellent platformer, one of the all time best for that matter, but some of the levels are rage inducing
The look is perfect with bright colors and varied enviornments and the music and sounds are catchy and perfect for each stage
a good looking game+It sounds good+Simple gameplay that anyone can pick up and learn+A variety of levels+Tons of secrets and little things to do; you'll be busy just trying to complete the game 100%Cons:-The difficulty level of this
Even though it is difficult, you'll enjoy looking in those eyes, and playing.
And while the game make look kiddy and cheerful, this first instalment has a genuine rotten underbelly to it as you venture father into the game, it has a considerable dark quality to it as you get to more advanced levels
, it was a great looking game and I still think it holds up today, largely due to it's bright and colorful cartoony art-style, and even though it's a linear platformer game, there's so much to look at
Crash's graphics are quite impressive for a PlayStation game, including well-textured environments and colorful characters
Crash Bandicoot's my favorite video game character and all his work is genius.
Water is flowing without a crack, the jungle is incredibly lush, and the characters have no mistakes from their hair to their sneakers
The great things about it are like, awesome graphics (which I am able to draw and make my own scenes!), cool music, and just really, really, really cool characters
Tight controls, a fantastic soundtrack, memorable characters and levels, and (as corny as it sounds) good, wholesome fun make this game great for the whole family
if you ignore the bonus levels, the challenge overall is pretty high anyway thanks to all the difficult stages (such as the one where you're crossing a bridge way up in the sky and continue falling through the wooden cracks- a NIGHTMARE of a level!)
The difficulty level is not exactly high either, and the challenge is severely lacking
A game you could play without spending money, good levels, challenging, better bosses, and a special ending you could view if you collected all the items necessary.
Now this game has perfect graphics for 1996 and great mascot some really fun challenging levels now you only have one hit
The creativity is good, has a good challenge and the graphics are fantastic
For example, the spinning attack can potentially send enemies flying into other enemies while the jump attack gives Crash some extra air, which is actually needed to access some of the games little secrets
Their direction could be changed much, much easier then Crash when jumping.
While it may be 3D, Crash plays out too much like an old side-scrolling game of the past
Crash runs kind of slow, especially when you need to get something done
Yeah, it’s weird how water kills Crash even though he fell in the water at the introduction and was floating away to one of the islands and survived
I'm not happy what I got the case was in great sheap but no crash one disc
This was an abvious favorite (Besides the first Resident evil and Treasures of the Deep) with 3-d layout and practical free range of the level i was jumping around and having fun for hours breaking boxes and running from boulders
Disc was scratched and won't play properly on my son's PS3.

- This is a solid game by Naughty Dog, and a great start to an awesome series.
For its time naughty dog with only a team of six people revolutionized the original playstation with arguably its best series
Naughty Dog really goofed up on this game, like when you can only save on the Tawna
This was an abvious favorite (Besides the first Resident evil and Treasures of the Deep) with 3-d layout and practical free range of the level i was jumping around and having fun for hours breaking boxes and running from boulders
so get this if you are either a hardcore crash fan or a hardcore naughty dog fan like
Well, the catch is you have to smash every crate in the level without dying.
To collect a gem, you must destroy every single crate in a level and get to the end without losing a life.
every future Crash Bandicoot game let you get the gem even if you die as long as you break all the crates
I'm all for destroying every crate, but I think you should be able to lose a life and still get the gem.
First off, you can only save when you either complete a bonus round (which can only be access one time in each level) or when you collect a gem for destroying every crate in the level
This gets frustrating, because in order to get each gem, you must complete the level and break the boxes without losing a life, plus the fact that colored gems are required to complete certain levels
If you complete an entire level without losing a life and manage to destroy all the boxes, you’ll get rewarded with a gem, this was a flaw with the game because it makes the game way too damn hard
The boxes are also a rip-off of Super Mario Bros. in which they have question marks on them and you have to destroy the boxes to gain prizes

In the tradition of great 3-D action jumping games, Crash Bandicoot is probably the PlayStation equivalent of the groundbreaking Nintendo 64 title Super Mario 64
Now repackaged as one of PlayStation's Greatest Hits, this top-selling game takes you away on a tropical island adventure that is filled with precarious enemies and challenging levels
Our spiky-haired hero Crash needs no weapons to survive the harsh jungle
Instead, he jumps, jogs, and spins his way through numerous lush and downright fun environments
With 26 levels spanned across three tropical islands, Crash Bandicoot is sure to amuse old gamers as well as new
Crash must rescue his girlfriend, Tawna, from the evil clutches of Dr
Cortex
Along the way, he can gather fruit for extra lives, smash boxes for random prizes, and gather tokens that can be used for bonus rounds
Numerous big bosses block your path, which also includes more than a few risky jumps that require split-second timing
Crash Bandicoot's impressive graphics and strong gameplay have already won over many hard-core and casual gamers
While this PlayStation classic has already spawned two successful sequels, the original version remains a worthy purchase--particularly at the sub-$20 price
