She doesn't have to scratch it all up to use it, it goes on smoothly and easily, and it works well with her bow to produce a pretty nice sound on a hand-me-down violin of unknown quality
Quality of the local stuff seems good and it will save me more money!
so I decided to put out a little extra money for some better rosin than Super Sensitive student quality
Sound quality of my instruments is better with this rosin then the rosin I had been previously using.
This is good quality and will last for a very long time.
While I'm not a professional violinist, I've used it in many amateur and community orchestras, as well as in my own playing for pleasure, and it has always done the job
There is nothing wrong with it, it was shipped fast, the packaging was fine and it was in good shape
came in good packaging although the rosin box had some dust in the outside
But it came in a tight package, very secure, and found to be perfect without a single crack or scratch

The rosin itself is a strange greenish colour, the case is plastic, but protects it
In order to preserve the rosin for its intended longtime use, it must come in a sturdy , non-crackable case, or else the rosin would deteriorate and for the price the seller charge, better product protection during shipping would go a long way and avoid unnecessary returns.
I'mnot being a smart a**s, just telling you the truth about the rosin that I received.

Cracked case, even missing a chunk, "rosin" was intact however
The full price is a little too steep, so I also appreciate this and other companies reducing the price and running a sale once in awhile so I can get it when I need it.
Don't be fooled by the reasonable price -- they are both really excellent and manufactured very consistently
Excellent rosin for an outstanding price, and was delivered very quickly

The price is not cheap but still well-worth the price as you don't want to torture your ears with noisy music.
I am the first to say that I don't have a lot of experience as a violinist - I bought a pretty nice starter violin at the same time I bought this rosin and have been teaching myself as time goes on
Works better than stock rosin that comes with cheaper violin kits.
I'll probably stick to this brand because it makes my violin sound so great.
This is big bucks for strings... but as a result of this change in rosin and strings, my violin sounds almost like a Vuillaume I once played
It was as if I had just spent several thousand dollars on a better violin
The answer came - nice rosin and a nice sound for 400 times of playing (about the # of
My bow grips the strings and produces a much louder fuller sound
I'm not getting the scratchy sound I was getting before.
However, when I applied it to my ethanol-cleaned bow, it produced a scratchy sound on my violin...this doesn't happen for my Melos rosin, which was the only rosin that I have used by then
Great rosin, using on 2 violins and 1 viola, very little residue and good sound
It may be more expensive then the cheaper rosin choices but according to my son it plays so much better than the cheaper stuff.
As an amateur player, I figured expensive rosin was only for the pros, and I could get by with the cheap stuff.
I think I like the Goldflex a bit more at this early stage of my testing, but this stuff is WAAY better than what came with the violin, or what a friend of mine gave
I don't think this stuff sticks very well and it sqeaks quite a bit for me
I bought it at a summer music camp a couple of years ago because it was the only kind they had available, but I loved it so much, I'm not going back to the cheap stuff I used to use
The Jade rosin is much nicer--no squeaks/scratches--just tone
First I must say this rosin is noticeably better than the generic 4-5 dollar rosin purchased at the local music store (This Jade rosin produces a more crisp and clear sound)
I'mnot being a smart a**s, just telling you the truth about the rosin that I received.
The Jade rosin produces A LOT LESS dust on your strings and instrument, and it sounds 100% better
Jade rosin is so amazing, I didn't need to rosin my bow between the time I had lost mine and the time I got a new one.
