It's worth mentioning that all Netgear powerline adapters are compatible
The Netgear PLP2000 still shines when used side by side with multiple Linksys PowerLine PLEK500 adapters (a legacy AV2 product) still boasting 33 to 35MB/s (neighboring room) or 12MB/s (distance).
I like the Netgear Powerline adapters a lot

I had the older generation of the devices from Netgear (SISO) and their speed was not exactly what I'd like to have
I just got 1 Gbps internet and was HOPING this would get me at least better speeds than wifi
Where I had reasonable speeds (~1Gbps) between the 2, adding the third dropped the speed to ~1.5 Mbps.
Despite the seeming complications of distance, opposite phase, intervening garage branch circuits, and ground fault protectors, the resulting download/upload speeds at the second (receiving
They could give me up to 200Mbit/s (depending on the power socket in the house, the worst speed was below 100Mbit/s), and so I decided to try the new MIMO generation
I ordered some of the smaller adapters NETGEAR Powerline AV 200 Nano Adapter - XAV2101-100PAS at first and just couldn't get a stable connection on my 2 story house throughout all plugs
Now I get a stable ethernet connection in any room that I have an adapter including my garage
They work fine if you are not expecting speeds beyond 5G wireless, but if you're looking for a hard line Ethernet Gigabit capable connection, these will, as far as I can tell, simply not do it.
This was very easy to setup, worked right away, so far very reliable connection, I noticed a difference over wireless right away, no more buffering:).
Unable to sustain advertised throughput, intermittently lost network connection
I do not know if there is a firmware update that would remedy the issue, but all of the documentation that I read on Netgear's site suggests that multiple adapters are supported.
One adapter quit working one day after installation - thought it came unplugged.
We're talking three days to download a game that this new Netgear adapter took three hours to accomplish.... and at the end of the old one's lifespan, it was more like three weeks what the Netgear managed in only three hours
It's worth mentioning that all Netgear powerline adapters are compatible
