This game has great graphics and is way more fun than the original ps2 and gamecube versions
The graphics still hold up nicely alongside some of the newer Wii releases, and the remapped controls almost break the game, with the way they improve aiming and shooting at enemies
Oh well, besides the graphic (almost laughable) amount of gore, this game totally rules
A trigger (or knife) happy splatter fest, RE4 puts you in the middle of the action, and as nasty as it is its a hard place to leave
Of course, it's a last-gen game, but the graphics are still good
The new Wii specific controls work great; aiming with the Wii remote is smooth and satisfying, and it adds a new experience to an already great game
How much better can a great game get with superior controls
But anyway the controls in this game are perfect when using the Wii remote because aiming and shooting is so satisfying and it even vibrates; which I really like
The game is detailed and well-executed, but it's just too difficult, especially on the Wii with its slightly weird control method
Playing this game on the Nintendo GameCube, you'll notice one clear difference, the flawless amazing controls have now been replaced by the atrocious Wii Mote and Nunchuk controls
Buy it because it has a great price, and it's a lot of fun!!!!
You can take a simple weapon, build more onto it, and make it into a super machine to be feared!I can't believe how awesome the price is on this game
But I picked it based on the glowing reviews and the low price.
It's a low price and I would recommend this game to any of the resident evil fans
However, this is only a minor complaint at best considering the relatively cheap price tag to go along with one of the best games to be conceived in the past few years.
The wii controllers work really well for aiming and shooting.

If you love zombie survival and wii, this is a definite game for you

RE4 is a great game, non-stop action from beginning to end, if you played the GC or PS2 version before you can play this one again because of the great new Wii controls for pin-point shooting accuracy
I don't have too many titles for the Wii yet, and I'm not an avid Resident Evil fan, but after reading reviews for this title, I decided to give it a shot.

Great game, not a big fan of how they had the Wii controlls set up
Still, if your not a die hard zombie fan who is easily disappointed, then this is the game for you.
Running hard seems to encourage your enemies to run faster
Part of that was my inability to remember to use the kick and stab method to eliminate some easier enemies
You are provided with only a few weapons at first to defeat the enemies in your way, and you really don't need a lot
With the camera behind Leon the entire time instead of preset angles, the game has a pseudo-FPS feel to it that feels more natural and while running-while-shooting mechanics would be much welcome one day, you never feel like you can't hit enemies like the old days because your aim was off
The enemies are smart enough to gang up on you and the replay value is high
Scary, strategic, good story, great monsters, and oh so many zombies to kill
Scary, strategic, good story, great monsters, and oh so many zombies to kill
its not your usual zombie shooter like the others its more like a strategy shooter because ammo is hard to come by in the game and the idea of finding money and trading it in to the merchant to by new weapons and upgrades is brilliant it should be in every RE here after in my opinion
He just walks around killing the same zombies over and over.
Scary, strategic, good story, great monsters, and oh so many zombies to kill
Crazy chainsaw potato sack head zombie doesn't even freeze and proceeds to slice my head off (which I'll have to admit was very entertaining!)
WHY, but the grenaded and on fire crazy chainsaw potato sack head zombie proceeds to chase after me as if nothing had happened... and chops my head off
A trigger (or knife) happy splatter fest, RE4 puts you in the middle of the action, and as nasty as it is its a hard place to leave
Crazy chainsaw potato sack head zombie falls down in flames and lies on the ground
The negative about this was keeping the same resolution and not improving at least the texture quality, as well as not using the 480p resolution used in most recent wii games
But with inhuman creature after creature flung at him, it quickly becomes obvious that these aren't any ordinary kidnappers he's dealing with

i don't think i've had this much fun with a Wii game since Twilight Princess.the plot is simple enought, Agent Leon Kennedy is assigned to locate and rescue the president's daughter, who has been kidnapped by a group of mysterious creatures

I bought this game when I had the Gamecube and U was happy to get this edition since I missed the extra content that the PS2 port had
And before you even grow tired of your surroundings, the game mixes it up with a creepy village, a cult-driven castle, and a military base, all with unique enemies and challenges and hidden treasures and upgradable weapons and intense boss fights
* require shaking the Wii remote which means if you're not fast enough to execute the shake, all that work wearing down the boss will be gone in an instant and you'll be dead meat
While that may seem overly difficult, you eventually become accustomed to it all- you shoot enemies in the legs to make them stagger then run in for a context sensitive attack, use quick turn immediately to see whats behind you or to make a quick escape, save shotgun shells for when you get mobbed by enemies or bosses and if a boss is too hard buy a single-use Rpg (Rpg's insta-kill the majority of the game's bosses.)Now you might be asking why would you go through all that?
There are tons of teenage boys that post videos of them defeating the bosses so you can look them up and watch them and then use their knowledge to try and pass the levels
If you're a hardworker, you'll eventually get the hang of this game and you'll find this game to be really easy even with all the hard bosses and stuff
and* you'd appreciate shooting the bad guys when the moment finally came
The bad guys are plentiful and can at times be a challenge, but never to the point of frustration, the sequences are strait out of a Hollywood horror, from being surrounded by freaks in a house, to death defying maneuvers that must be preformed almost precisely to win
Shoot the bad guys in the head and kick them then knife them to death
Some older fans such as myself, may miss the old spookiness, and impending doom you always felt from being surrounded by zombies, however this game has its own little perks, the bad guys for instance are far more intelligent
great game if you like blood & guts and shooting the bad guys.
The negative about this was keeping the same resolution and not improving at least the texture quality, as well as not using the 480p resolution used in most recent wii games
A trigger (or knife) happy splatter fest, RE4 puts you in the middle of the action, and as nasty as it is its a hard place to leave
With that experience behind you, playing the game a second and third time allows you to see the brilliant aspects you missed the first time when all you were trying to do was survive one intense battle after another.
As a result, it leads to frustratingly wasteful battles of shooting people in the head only for them to clutch their face and then continue forward; despite the fact that they should be dead from a head shot
and I did think that, while manageable, the game threw you in to a difficult battle situation a bit too early (although this has nothing to do with learning the controls and everything to do with being five minutes into the game and
Sure, there are a couple of spots where the designers screw with you, launching an ambush that gives you one second to shake the remote or press A & B, and then you die.
it has a few little things thrown in for the wii, like having to shake the remote to dodge enemys
However if you're blazing through the game without taking a single hit, you're given half a second to shake the remote
Fail to shake the remote in time and you WILL experience a sudden and surprising death
