Not counting the three separate book shelves, the bookcase consists of three parts: 1) the top part (3 boards - left, right, and top), 2) the middle shelf that extends to the very edge of the left and right sides of the top part and is the main support for the sides, and 3) the bottom part (3 boards - left, right, and bottom).Securing the middle shelf to the top section by using the cams is crucial to supporting the entire bookcase
I don't know why, but there are only TWO Cams holding the top and bottom sections of this Bookcase together!!!
There should be at LEAST FOUR Cams holding the top and bottom section together.
Also colored adhesive circles are supplied to cover the screws in the side and the cams on the inside that secure the middle board to the top and bottom sections
And the receiving top section did not have properly drilled holes
The bookcase looks like a solid book case in the picture
It serves the purpose of what we were looking for which was a inexpensive book shelf to hold my husbands comic book collection.
I wish I could find decent book shelves for less than an arm and a leg!!

Drilled it into the wall and each self holds more than a couple sturdy books with more lightweight decorative accents
Holes drilled on the wrong side of the wood, hole drilled at the incorrect distances from the end of the material, poor quality particle board, this in every way shape and form was a sub-par product and the one I received was incapable of being built to spec.
Also colored adhesive circles are supplied to cover the screws in the side and the cams on the inside that secure the middle board to the top and bottom sections
Made of the cheapest press board with a really cheap vinyl that they say looks like Oak.
I usually hate putting things together, but this was actually easy and worked as it should.
If the nail is not in the center of the shelves, you will split the boards on the bookshelf side
