I can not read my writing through the "highlights".I like the retractable design in a of a range of colors, but it was not executed with proper highlighting ink.
First of all, the new retractable design seems to be a complete success.
Love the retractable design, but they ran out more quickly than I expected
The retractable design is nice too since you don't have to keep up with the caps!
Very clever design... wonder why no one did this before.
unfortunately, they bleeds through thin papers such as the bible page or recycled newspapers.
It would have been nice if the retractable feature was less noisy, especially if you're studying in a public place, but nevertheless, i would purchase this again.
Good variety of colors, the retractable feature is a MUST
Great variety of colors and the retractable feature is great as well!
But if I was the manufacturer, I would be embarrassed that the phrase "smear guard" rubs off on the user's hands.(-)The retractable feature is a little loud
They come in a convenient plastic case for easy storage.
They come in a nice clear, reusable plastic case that is convenient for storage purposes
They even come with a handy plastic carrying case so you can stay organized.
cheap plastic casing and inks will dry easily because of the opening at the tip but a hassle free all in one go purchase if you need a large number of colors
They come in a handy soft plastic case so I can keep track of them.
No more dried out markers, and no more looking for missing caps.- Nice wide variety of colors, though I wouldn't recommend the dark blue or the purple as a highlighter (too dark to see text
The pinks, blues, and green are too dark to us as a highlighter, but the lighter colors work great.
However, I was kind of sad that my orange highlighter was DULL in color
Additionally, the darker highlighter colors, as other reviewers have pointed out, make it difficult to read text.
I love the different colors and the idea of a retractable highlighter.
Also, the tips seem to become frayed and lose their firm tip; I believe it is because it hits up against the spinning disc that closes and opens when clicking.
This multi-pack serves its purpose well, and I love the convenience of having a retractable tip instead of having to mess with removing caps.
Highlight marker with convenient retractable tip helps to keep from drying out early.
I love the retractable feature of this marker, colors are good and all but the tips are kind of hard, the sharpie accent that is short and has a cap are much smoother
The retractable tip works well - after several months the pens are all still "juicy" and work great.
Highlighting is supposed to illuminate the text for easy reference but the darker colors make it almost impossible to see.
(The yellow is a SUPER bright neon.)The other colors are good, although the red, fuchsia, and darker blue are pretty dark - you need to make sure you only use them on very dark text or type or they will partially obscure the words
In my experience with these highlighters, they will not smear pre-printed text (i.e.- a textbook) but handwritten notes (in a notebook or in the margins of the textbook) will smear noticeably
A few shades are so dark (blue, red) that the hilighted text becomes unreadable.
Next comes Sharpie's claim that these highlighters will not smear the text
and I don't have to worry about losing the caps anymore
Great for the classroom as you do not have to worry about losing the caps.
I enjoy having pens and highlighters that click because I don't have to worry about losing the cap and the pen or highlighter drying out.
The retractable function is good, but I prefer a traditional cap one.
I love the retractable feature of this marker, colors are good and all but the tips are kind of hard, the sharpie accent that is short and has a cap are much smoother
The three darker colors, especially the indigo and purple, are a bit too dark to highlight in, so I just use them like markers and draw arrows or underline things
but it makes me work a bit more than necessary when studying.
However, be careful with the darker colors, they will bleed a little bit but not enough to blot out the opposite page.
The tip is a tiny bit more narrow than a standard highlighter but it actually works in its favor
but I do find the darker shades are a bit too dark to read through.
Great assortment of colors, nice narrow tips, and seriously smudge proof- even on slick coated paper.
I find the highlighters to not smear any ink once once the pen ink is fully dried, unlike some other highlighters that seem to have a solvent quality about them that will smear many inks even after drying, so kudos to Sharpie for the virtually smear-proof properties of these highlighters.
For the most part these are smear proof, but if you have a tendency to really press down hard on the paper then that will cause the marker to smear, but even then it's not that bad
Also like all the other Sharpie products these highlighters are smear proof

I love retractable pens because I don't have to worry about losing the lids
Saves the chance of losing the lid and are great for quick use without drying out.
Feel a little nerdy being so excited about these highlighters, but I felt like they saved me sooo much time when I was reading, in addition to saving me the headache of losing my lids
There are no lost lids and because there is not a removable cap, they can’t detach from the clips, therefore, you can clip them all over the place.2
