I could not successfully burn DVD videos with these discs after many trials and versions.

The Smart Buy blank DVD's are working great, and have had no problems with this brand

I burned the same dvd on this brand and on a phillips one I had left and there were no errors on that dvd but several on this Smart Buy Brand.

and I had absolutely zero problems with my first 100 Smart Buy dvds

Rs the past year, and it seems this "Smart Buy" brand is it.

If you are looking for a cheap buy take your chances but you get what you pay for.

the print surface made for a rough, poor quality printing.

Product is of great quality & the packaging was a lot easier to open .

These are great quality and yield perfect results every time

Real good DVDs can write on the top surface to identify disc.

I burned numerous dvds on these (more than half of what is in there) and unlike the Phillips (which had no errors) these were riddled with them from skipping through the dvd, pixilation, freezing.

No more Verbatims for me (unless Amazon finds out what was wrong and gets it corrected).Also want to say that I agree with 2 things that other reviewers mentioned - (1) that these discs have a very strong chemical odor (but I can live with that) and (2) that the rough surface on the discs is great for being able to write on the discs with media pens (I assume this surface might be inkjet printable but am not sure).**********************************************************************************************************************UPDATE:

I like the writing surface which takes a Sharpie very nicely.

Iv been buying smartbuy about 5 yrs or more, there brand is almost flawless

i buy this brand over verbatim anytime, if you get fails its problm a sighn you

This product is always good never had any problem out of it

Didn't have a spindle but good price for 100 and no issues using the product

If I figure my final cost after tossing out bad discs I realize I got no bargain.

These discs worked well in the first several packages that I bought but then went downhill fast when I bought more every couple months.

The price is right, and the discs burn great, I haven't had a bad burn yet!!

I ended up tossing out over 100 bad discs with glitches,

"Taiyo-Yuden" (now owned/made by CMC Magnetics) and after doing so thus far out of roughly 20 discs have yet to have had a SINGLE bad disc of those types
