Even the humble MP3 retains a place in today's environment, particularly in podcasting and other voice recordings (and higher bitrate MP3 files can, admittedly, sound pretty good with music, although nothing like the lossless formats)
Having used a number of Creative MP3 devices with proprietary software and the Microsoft Zune in the past, this software is about the worst I have seen
It's got an mp3 boost function so it can help to make your mp3's sound as close to Hi-Res as possible
It is a music player, a classic "mp3 player" in the iPod mold
Beautiful build quality, snappy UI, good weight, kinda small which makes me feel that I might drop it or lose it somewhere, but I went ahead and got the Square Trade plan to cover my investment
All I wanted was an inexpensive player with good build quality that I could listen to mp3's on
sound quality with decent earphones is wonderful and the built in EQ works well.interface to locate artist is the best of any mp3 player i have tried
Play HD audio from this small, light, and well built player.
Excellent build quality (feels like it was built in Japan, but is actually manufactured in Malasia
Steer clear of this product!I have an older Creative Zen Xfi that STILL works better than this product.
if you are going to pair your Walkman with proprietary software at least do it as well as my 13-year-old Creative Zen software or my 10-year-old Zune software
Steer clear of this product!I have an older Creative Zen Xfi that STILL works better than this product.

I know for a fact that their are plenty of exceptionally fluent English speaking people looking for a job across Pan Asia, and the idea that these Scrooges are such pinch fisted tightwads as to abstain from hiring an English speaking representative, is a reflection on how cheap their product and company actually are!Enter Sony
This unit competes with the Cowon Plenue D quite well on price, and is certainly less expensive than a smartphone.
Product works as expected with highlighted by plenty of storage capacity (easily amendable), various category options, easy user interface, compatibility with multiple file types, and the ability to adjust various sound elements
Still not as warm and as open as I remember the Fiio (even via bluetooth) to be but much better than my iPhone obviously.
Perfect, Great Interface, Xlnt sound and bass, More than 30ft Lossless Bluetooth distance with walls in the way

cons the interface is not bad but the only complaint I have is no
Other positive thing is I can arrange music/audio on my PC how I choose to, Music Center will keep track of the audio files wherever they are located (providing you don't move them after import).PLAYLISTSI'm still not sure how these work
Now, onto what is the most important aspect of the player: How does it sound?Well, let me say that this thing is just incredible in its sound reproduction
DAP!This thing is awesome and it's priced just right if you want to get into Hi-Res and FLAC
The physical buttons are great and probably the best thing about listening to music on a separate device, not to mention no interruption from your phone or other nonsense
The unit charges just fine with the various USB cellphone chargers I have, but for safety's sake I would vastly prefer to have a unit chosen by Sony to be a good fit for the player
Also, reading the reviews seems like customers in China who bought one and got a knock off/fake unit as they came from a 3rd party seller and NOT Amazon.
(unlike the Fiio)If you need something to play high res on a portable player on only headphones, this unit will work just fine.
Unit works, but does not work good with all devices, mainly my car
Besides the defect, the unit sounded good although equalizer is non-functional (as is FM radio) over bluetooth
Unfortunately, Sony went with a proprietary connector on the unit
only five)++ Can control when the touch interface is and is not active, very nice for when using this device under different conditions++ While retaining the Sony-unique USB connector cable that so many people grouse about, you can get these anywhere now for five
Only the proprietary connector and non-oleophobic screen irk me
