I also measured the distance from the bottom two holes to the 4th hole up (holes that pinkie to index fingers cover on right hand) and found that the Yamaha is exactly a ¼ of an inch shorter in length than the Aulos
If there were a joint between the top hand and the lower hand, you could turn and adjust the fingering for a more comfortable fit
Stretching as far as I can, from my index to my pinkie finger is exactly 5 inches wide (on my right hand).I really struggled trying to get a clear low F note on the Aulos (all holes covered)
My problem is reaching the bottom holes with the right hand.

Comes with a nice carry case and protective end caps for when the instrument is apart
Comes in a lovely carrying case that's easy to slip in a purse or bookbag
It contains a good zippered carry case, a fingering chart, lubricant to apply to ends that slip together, caps to cover the end when stored and a cleaning stick that you only need a soft cloth to thread into to the stick's loop.
It comes with a really nice zippered carry case, caps for the various pieces, joint cream, and a cleaning rod (no cloth, though)
the Yamaha recorder is a nice, inexpensive recorder which comes in a handy little case

But I wish it had come with a cleaning cloth in addition to the cleaning wand.

It is a great little instrument with a good sound and at a great price.
However, the sound of it is so great that I decided to keep it and play starting with the second lowest tone, which means the fact that my little finger can't reach the bottom holes is not a problem.
This recorder has a great sound, is easy to learn to play, and is an exceptional deal.
This instrument is great for adults with large hands that can't play the soprano instrument, or those looking for a warmer and lower sound than the soprano
The sound is great and rinsing it under warm water makes it a breeze to keep clean.
I enjoy the tones but seems to shrill very high on the low notes, scares the dogs!
This recorder has a very nice deep tone, and the carrying case and equipment is very nice, but unfortunately, as I'm a rather small woman, I'm one of the unlucky people whose hands are too small to comfortably play this recorder (my finger span is
The tone is wonderful and much better than other options which are comparable in price.
This is easy to play, holes can be reached, and the instrument has good tone
It might be a fault with me as the player, or with me not having bothered to apply the lubricating grease that came with it, or perhaps somehow due to me never formally cleaning the instrument (although I look inside it from time to time, and it looks clean), but for some reason, I find the lowest notes difficult to play with pleasant tone at volume.
This instrument is a very good instrument for those starting out, and those who want to play for their own enjoyment
I can't wait to learn some music on the beautiful instrument

You can't beat the price on this, its a beautiful instrument, sounds great.
