The sound bar was easy to install and brings the dialogue in clearly
I really wanted to like this sound bar, with its excellent reviews, its reasonable price ($165 open box) and AptX
The ZVOX SB400 is an excellent sound bar that met all my TV audio needs
All I can say, is that as a person with no hearing problem, it was difficult to clearly hear many of the voices on my new TV even with a good quality Sound Bar.
I purchased the sound bar since it was recommended by AARP to help hear the words more clearly
The dialog is clear (I don't use the Accuvoice feature), nicely balanced Left/Center/Right soundstage, with ample bass, altho only down to the low 50's
Their claim,that a great bass sound will come out of this soundbar is absolutely unfounded
But without more bass, music and movies are not at all enjoyable.
We really like the AccuVoice feature which does deliver ultra-clear dialogue!!
Anyone having a hearing issue will greatly appreciate this feature

It does have nice features, like the option to lay it upright or on it's back to clear the bottom of your TV.

When researching sound bars with external sub-woofers I was considering the Yamaha YAS-207 which gets good reviews
I know that Consumer Reports did not give it a very good review, but I don't agree with their evaluation

I only gave it 3 stars since it did little to improve the sound quality.
Great quality just wished I had purchased this one instead of the Polk which was a waste of money
I mention this to friends of mine, who were also having a similar problem, and the said they purchased this sound bar and the commercials broadcasted were not as loud sound quality was much better when watching TV.

The build quality is also superb, it's aluminum cabinet is solid, not flimsy plastic, I also rate the build
But, when listening to 2-channel music, this feature kills dynamic range and makes music sound awful; it's like there's a robot continuously fiddling with the volume knob trying to keep sound volume at a consistent level

and I no longer think I was starting to have a hearing problem
I don't have a hearing problem but am still waiting for some foreign film with muffled voices to give that feature a real test!We watched 'The Conspirator' (Lincoln's assassination) at surround sound 1 and found it quite enjoyable
