Unfortunately, the system is very effective for dogs, deer and various critters.

I've tried various settings, and replaced the batteries twice, but the system continues to only work sporadically.

I could probably get a better system but not for this price.

However, this system often fails to alert me, even when I walk directly in front of it as a test.

I use this system as an alarm on the front door of my business so I know when someone enters my store when I'm in the back room

Hooked everything up, tested the system and it all worked.

Great warning system that is inexpensive yet gets the job done.

We tried another system that works via magnetic sensor but it wouldn't work on out metal door.
