We are not using this item as a doorbell, but actually using the unit to deter sparrows from nesting in a particular location - we have the chime portion mounted outdoors and can press the button to scare away the undesired birds when we see them thinking about nesting in the bluebirds' box.
-
Very sensitive unit, even a squirrel or leaves blowing will set it off, which depending on your needs could be good or bad.
-
Unit works well, mounted about 3 feet off the ground and facing down my driveway, about 60 feet from the inside receiver
-
anyone know of a good unit that works outside from the git go?
-
Now I have my main plug-in doorbell by my front door and this useful, portable unit in my conservatory
-
It seemed to work at first with some false alarms in there but after a week or so the unit quit working.
-
a day;).The unit does work, well, at night, when it isn't affected by the wind

-
The sounder unit looks quite smart and comes with a stand
-
It doesn't t work good in the driveway because every time the sun goes in and out the unit goes off not good for outside
-
At night the unit is put on the blinking light thanks to the deer who walk past it at night and sets it off
-
This would be a better unit with battery back up.
-
and as this unit doesn’t plug into the mains its very economical to use
-
but once I had mastered it, its tight and secure and the unit stands on my desk, or bedside table, or kitchen counter and looks very nice indeed
-
This unit works well and is an inexpensive method of giving one a heads-up when someone is approaching down a long driveway
-
I used it successfully for 6 months when it had a problem, but 1byone Customer Service was excellent in helping me and even sent me a replacement unit free of charge once we determined that was needed.
-
The unit has not failed to operate as advertised since its installation
-
This unit is very loud on the highest volume setting so particularly good if you have any trouble hearing a bell
-
Unit is protected from the wind, so it's not actual physical motion
-
Both units seemed to work great when we got them placed the first night.
-
I don't know if I just got a bad unit, or not, but was unable to successfully communicate with the manufacturer, so I chose to return it to Amazon.
-
Tested the unit closer and it worked fine as well as checked the outlet that I was plugging it
-
I HAVE A DEFECTIVE UNIT
-
Easy to use, just plug the main unit inside, and place the sensor anywhere you want it to sense motion.
-
So, overall, the unit works well, but I wish there were more short notification tones to choose from.
-
I liked the fact that this unit has a variety of sounds, volume, and flashing light
-
Also, compared to other motion detection alarm that I have evaluated, IMO, I find the 1byone unit offers more flexibility and option in terms of volume control and tunes; the sensor is quite portable with decent range, so I can move it to various location as needed.
-
The unit was easy to assemble, though I might suggest that the sellers have someone with a better knowledge of English proofread some of the instructions.
-
I mounted it high enough, thinking it would not pick up animals but this unit is very sensitive
-
and so on … this is invaluable to me already, I’ve been carrying it around all day, up and down stairs, even to the bathroom, its great! The push button unit has a rubber ‘waterproof’ button (sensible as it rains a lot here) and it states in the instructions that the battery in it will last 12 - 14 months
-
I got a response back from this seller and we realized my unit was bad and they refunded me the
-
unit is way too sensitive.
-
Previous alarm was made by this company & both units used batteries and worked great for a long time so felt OK when ordered.
-
Only con if you losing power U loose connection with transmitter [just relearn the unit with transmitter], but would still buy it again!I use it so I can close back door during winter , when it chimes to let dogs in
-
They always work for a few minutes then one unit stops working
-
I finally broke down and bought a more expensive unit (from Amazon) that is made in North America) and it works wonderful.
-
This unit is VERY sensitive.
-
This new unit is great
-
I highly recommend this unit!
-
This unit only worked a few days before stopping to work properly
-
this unit gives you regarding the chimes
-
ok I disposed of the box and othedr items and the unit started alarming all of the time I REPAIRED the units relocated the transmitter to 4 different locations it still alarms I would definatly not purchase one of these units if I really needed one to work
-
I could not find any place I could put the sensors that the units did not produce false alarms.
-
This is a easy to operate and well designed unit.- battery operated- good volume range with three settings and the top setting is a nice and loud 85 dB- as well as the sound it also can be set to flash, or flash without the sound
-
I am going with a more expensive, better built, and longer distance unit.
-
At this point, I would recommend this unit over the Chamberlin, but I have only had it for a month....
-
and then then the units themselves would die.
-
This is a great unit
-
Remote unit is too sensitive for most environments outdoors.
-
Great unit, the only issue I have with this is that it is so sensitive that when it is windy outside, or if it detects a leaf, bird or any small object, it goes off... sometimes over and over
-
there are LOTS of chimes to choose from, the first one is just a standard ding-dong style, but the rest are all more jazzy tunes!A good value unit that is easy to operate and gives lots of options
-
replaced it with a much more costly unit and it was worth the difference.
-
One unit didn't work at all
-
This unit only worked a few days before stopping to work properly
-
Yet, the same unit will work 100% and very reliable in my home
-
the unit that plugs into the wall just quit working for no reason.
-
u wont be disappointed
-
Doesn't seem to drain batteries quickly (I *really* appreciate not having to deal with changing batteries frequently...)
