Brought out a folding chair and just enjoyed the process as the lens got clearer and clearer as you use finer and finer grits of abrasives

I use ceramic car wax to protect the lens.

This worked perfectly and not only are my lens clearer now, but at night, my visibility is greatly improved.

I would recommend just doing each lens one time through, since redoing it seems to have made it worse.

The 800 grit pads will continue to smooth out the lens, use plenty of water and plan on using one disc per headlight

My headlight lens had gotten pretty cloudy and yellow over the last couple of years and it was becoming very obvious that it no longer matched the other headlight

When I looked closer my second lens was FILLED with tiny scratch marks which still cleared the lens, but left it much hazier than my first.

In this "ultra" product, you then wipe a clear coat pad which spreads a clear finish over the lenses which effectively hides any remaining scratches and is supposed to protect the lens.

3M's kit comes with a lens UV and oxidation protection solution which you apply at the end of the process where the Macguire comes with PLASTIX which is a version of rubbing compound intended for plastic which gives you a cleaner finish than the 3M as PLASTIX is the equivalent of a ultra fine sandpaper thus giving a clearer lens look but without the oxidation protection.

THe 201 Toyota Prius have lousy headlight lens and turn yellow

Follow the instructions exactly and obviously be really careful with your technique so you don't overheat the lens (keep the drill moving slowly and press gently)

So, now I have one fabulously clear lens and one that looks pretty decent

Once you get to the sponge and the polish, keep in mind that if the polish to thick or drys out, you will burn the lens

In the past I had used Maguire's lens cleaning kit which I frankly much prefer over this product as this product comes with several lower grit paper sandpapers but only one 3000 grit paper

Be patient & the lens will be just like new

If you take your time, your headlights will be a s good as new.
