The sound options, sound more like static noise, not waves or a heartbeat

It makes a slight humming noise but nothing that disturbs her or us

I am so upset that after just a few weeks my sons mamaRoo is making a loud noise as if it is about to come off of its track.

it doesn't bother me a bit tho and its basically white noise that helps soothe the baby

I'm giving it 3 stars because, despite how nifty it looks and how much I wish they made an adult-sized version (seriously, how fun would that be?), it has started making some weird noises once in a while -- i.e. banging & crackling

The motor is not silent, but it makes a nice white noise as the swing moves.
