    Acer Aspire 7 Casual Gaming Laptop, 15.6" Full HD IPS Display, Intel 6-Core i7-8750H, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti 4GB, 8GB DDR4, 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD, Fingerprint Reader, Windows 10 64bit, A715-72G-71CT

    • I actually get 30% off through my work on laptops and this was still a better deal considering it had the larger solid state hard drive and 15" 1080p HD screen
    • However, please note that while you do not HAVE to have a mounting bracket for this 2nd hard drive, it WILL bang against the case and I imagine eventually wiggle loose if you do not secure it.
    • This limited hard drive space is easily remedied though as the computer has room internally for a 2nd 2.5'' hard drive.
    • Clearly there is a second, available drive bay on this model
    • determined.*edit: 2 months later I am still happy with the machine, easily added an old 2.5" hard drive with no additional parts or hardware required.
    • I do have an external hard drive that I save most of my documents and pictures to; the SSD has had plenty of room to load everything that I have needed and then some.
    • * Extra SATA internal hard drive slot since the SSD is
    • I have added a 1 tb external hard drive to this pc along with the 256 gb internal hard drive that it came with and let me tell you this pc is plenty fast and snappy for my needs
    • if the “fast startup” is turned on it causes chaos when power options are used (shut down, sleep, hibernate) because of solid state drive
    • Also, this laptop has a solid state drive and starts much faster than a laptop that has a traditional hard drive
    • You have to buy a hard drive bracket from acer, and a larger hard drive
    • If this computer is being bought for gaming, you will definitely want a 2nd hard drive
    • The best laptop in that range was the 350 dollar little brother of this one, but to make it worth it, you had to upgrade the RAM and the hard drive, bumping the price up to around 550.I quickly found that most negative reviews of laptops are by people who have no
    • but I finally found where to install the ribbon under a piece of electrical tape, but a white piece broke off and so now I am without a hard drive connection until I find someone who specializes in fixing this
    • Great for the price, I highly recommend this for the price and the solid state drive
    • Solid State Drive (no moving parts)mine has an Sata III M.2 SSD (Solid State Drive) , this drive is directly connected to the motherboard, which makes paging and data access super fast.
    • MB Cache 2.5-Inch Hard Drive (ST2000LX001
    • Upgrading involves removing three screws and opening the back compartment and plugging in the proper hard drive.
    • That said, the solid space hard drive on this guy really does make the booting and rebooting mighty fast
    • SSD, backlight and easy access for upgrading ram and adding a second Hard Drive
    • Since I didn't do that first, when I opened the laptop, the hard drive ribbon came out of the connection
    • Had to have a fast SSD instead of the traditional mechanical drive - 256GB M.2 drive included
    • The included SSD is a huge bonus, as is being able to insert your own additional hard drive.
    • 2.5"/7mm Solid State Drive - WDS100T2B0A to store files .
    • The SSD (solid state drive) is what I understand makes it so fast.
    • I bought it partly because it had a solid state drive with no moving parts.
    • I would highly recommend getting the bracket though unless you plan to use tape/foam to secure it (which I wouldn't recommend).Installing the hard drive is incredibly easy.
    • I would highly recommend getting the bracket though unless you plan to use tape/foam to secure it (which I wouldn't recommend).Installing the hard drive is incredibly easy.
    • My first time with a Solid State Drive, very nice quick and quiet
    • A Solid State Drive is a must have!
    • It needs an SSD hard drive, which I had never used until now
    • I just about drove myself crazy looking for a nice laptop with solid state drive (SSD) for speed at a price I could afford
    • There is a big spot on the left side for a hard drive.
    • May not have the 1TB store that a lot of other standard hard drives have but
    • I would highly recommend getting the bracket though unless you plan to use tape/foam to secure it (which I wouldn't recommend).Installing the hard drive is incredibly easy.
    • Really the only problem I have is the lack of storage space, but modern computers have many ways around that (cloud storage, external hard drives, etc).
    • I would knock a star for the hard drive size since it's incredibly small but at this price you can easily pick up large one to add if you want
    • I am not familiar with building a computer or installing hard drives
    • I wanted a laptop with a solid state drive so it would boot fast.
    • Solid state drive is fast enough for me
    • Did not include 1 TB hard drive in addition to the 256B SSD as advertised.
    • I plan to use the expansion for an additon hard drive and more RAM
    • The hard drive failed in 5 months of purchase
    • I immediately upgraded ours to Pro and enabled bit locker for Hard Drive encryption so if it's stolen it's data is secure
    • I also wanted the high resolution screen and it included a DVD drive and memory and hard drive upgrade options
    • Upgrading involves removing three screws and opening the back compartment and plugging in the proper hard drive.
    • That said, the solid space hard drive on this guy really does make the booting and rebooting mighty fast
    • Easy to add memory and a second hard drive
    • Just received, just wanted to show what's under the cover, in terms of RAM and hard drive
    • I love the Solid State drive, as reviews or ads say you can boot up and get onto internet in 10 to 15 seconds.
    • Those two things alone gave me great interest because I like photography and this allows you to use a fast SSD drive for quick editing and a large slower drive I can move finished files to
    • Also, this laptop has a solid state drive and starts much faster than a laptop that has a traditional hard drive
    • This may be important, because the WIndows 10 Create-Image (of your entire hard drive) utility, does not work
    • That gives you access to the two RAM slots (the laptop comes with a single 8GB RAM stick), a 2.5" drive bay (you can install another SSD here or traditional hard drive for extra storage), and also the M.2 slot (the laptop comes with an M.2 256GB SSD which is great!)
    • Initial thoughts:build quality seems greateasy access doors to memory and hard drive are excellent (without these upgrading is not fun, I've done
    • When I used an external hard drive, the image creation ran for a while, was nearly completed, and then a box popped up which I believe said "error 0x807800A1
    • Just would suggest getting an external hard drive or flash drive because it's easy to run through all the space in the SSD.
    • I did so, but unfortunately, I did not know that I should have also taken off the doors AND removed the screws for the hard drive AND THEN passed the hard drive through the door
    • It wont play really graphic driven games like Destiny 2, Latest COD etc but if you're a casual Steam, Blizzard and old school gamer than this is the perfect laptop
    • This was my first device I tried a solid state drive on to see if it lived up to the gamer hype, and I can pleasantly say it does
    • Coming from a laptop with a regular hard drive to one with a SSD is like night and day
    • And with an empty second slot for a Hard Drive
    • I actually get 30% off through my work on laptops and this was still a better deal considering it had the larger solid state hard drive and 15" 1080p HD screen
    • The primary Hard Drive is a M.2 style
    • My only complaint is regarding the hard drive bay.
    • While solid state drive doesn't gave a ton of memory, you can always just get a portable hard drive for your games
    • Spin up a game or Photoshop/Autocad and it'll chew up your battery in under 2 hours.-NVMe SSD plus and additional hard drive slot
    • Oh and I've also added a 1tb hard drive because games are very big.
    • Very fast with 2.59 gb SSD hard drive to store programs.
    • It actually is quite simple to set up though and a quick Google search of: "partitioning a 2nd hard drive" will explain the easy steps to do this
    • I took literally 5 minutes and dropped a 1T hard drive in the empty drive bay and someday, perhaps, I'll drop another 8 meg of RAM into the empty slot.
    • : I haven't actually upgraded this yet, but it is nice to know that you can add a RAM stick and another hard drive if you need
    • And the unit can back extra RAM with 2 solid state hard drives!
    • with the 128 GB solid state hard drive doing all the operating system.
    • I set up all my downloads, including games and documents, other big files, to be on the hard drive ("D"), and left Windows on the SSD
    • The two hard drives are a great idea
    • I think I want to double the RAM may be even add some Optane memory and remove the DVD-RW and add a Terabyte hard-drive or another SSD for extra storage, but can this baby cope with all these adjustments
    • The secondary hard drive will serve all my movies and files keeping the 128 ssd clean and clear for fast operation.
    • The 2.5 Hard drive space, ram slots and M.2 are accessible by removing only 3 screws and easily pop the cover off the bottom, which I Love
    • This laptop does not come with a lot of storage in my opinion so if you want to store a lot of videos or photos on here, you may want to consider purchasing an external hard drive as well.
    • It's got a relatively small hard drive but for my purposes, I'll never need more
    • Wanted to find out what the capacity of the additional 2.5-inch hard drive bay is
    • The main sticking points of this review is, the battery is not easily accessible and you have to unscrew the hard drive before taking off the back of the laptop
    • The main problems is that I will have to back up the hundreds of photos that are on my hard drive.
    • They either didn't have hard drives or had such weak CPUs that opening a Word document was a complex task requiring several hours and a battery recharge
    • Pros are the solid state drive and backlit keyboard
    • I have not yet upgraded the memory or added another hard drive, but I do eventually plan to do that.
    • with the 128 GB solid state hard drive doing all the operating system.
    • And the unit can back extra RAM with 2 solid state hard drives!
    • I was going to upgrade its memory and add the second hard drive to turn it into a high-performance beast
    • an optical drive, dedicated graphics card, and an SSD for only $600.Would be a steal, if I had gotten any that weren't defective in one way or another
    • You may need to look online though on how to set up this hard drive so the computer will read it because it is not simply "Plug and Play".
    • While solid state drive doesn't gave a ton of memory, you can always just get a portable hard drive for your games
    • Anything close to this cheaper will have a traditional hard drive and not solid state storage.
    • On top of that, the solid-state drive is noticeably fast
    • This is because it is a solid state drive (SSD)
    • * Comes with bloatware, I recommend to format the Hard Drive, or set to default settings.
    • The machine itself is great beyond the small SSD 256 GB hard drive.
    • But for me, one of the main reasons (other than speed) for buying a SSD PC was to have the quiet operations that's hard to get from a traditional (cheaper) spinning hard drive type PC
