The bezels surrounding the screen are tiny, making it a very sleek looking monitor.
I know that I have the best looking monitor in the office
Due to how thin the panel is, the connecting wires stick out the back instead of lining up vertically underneath, which lends the setup a slightly unclean look, but it's not a major concern.
It's a good looking monitor with lots of options for inputs
That being said, the display DID look clear and it's a beautiful looking monitor
Amazing picture quality, and no noticeable light bleeding.
One had and shaking picture
It is a great Monitor for its price with a good picture but it does have a few issues
For $99 its a steal, pictures Good, not great, made out of cheap plastics, but it does get the job done, gaming looks great on it, but for serious gamers I would look elsewhere for a higher quality monitor, even my old
Look no further this is all you will need, for great picture quality
It is a nice big monitor with great color and definition.
The color of the screen is too bright so that it hurts my eye when I read texts
This is a great monitor -- colors and images are sharp and vivid.
When turn on the computer, the first screen Window 8 uses, normally would be bright and similar to an arch rainbow - now it is very dark and the colors all with purple tints
If a portion of the screen has an image with too much flickering such as flashes or rapid changes between very dark colors and very bright colors then that section of the monitor will continue to flicker for long time
Great quality screen at a great price, would definitively recommend it.
This monitor looks great, both design and picture quality
The only things keeping these monitors from being 5 star (for me) is that the monitor stand doesn't adjust and (for the Abmidx) the poor quality of the speaker
Good screen quality for the price, and at 24" it is plenty of screen
If you are looking for a cheaper but good quality monitor this is perfect for you!
I would give 5 stars to the product's quality to my size 11 shoes , but for the delay of delivery I will subtract 2 stars, I waited more than one month to get these shoe tree.
For this reason, I think a 4 out of 5 stars is adequate
The only reason I knocked off a star, and really it's only a half-star complaint, is that the controls for the picture/input/power/etc are underneath the screen which makes them a little difficult to use, and the menus for screen settings are harder to navigate than they should be
This monitor is extremely thin, and has a really slick, edge-less design
I knocked two stars off because of my issues with it, and I'll be going with another monitor,
and it's taken a couple of tumbles, but it's still working just as fine as when we bought it.
It was not as bad as of now
Besides it's 4ms response you can see ghosting when move the mouse agaist white backgroud (web browse, read text on white background)- Uncomfortable monitor configuration
Only con is that the physical buttons are a bit mushy and there is no tactile feedback when you press them, but on a monitor thats not really a con.
My only complaint which I consider nit picking is all the adjustment buttons including the on-off button should really be on the front of the monitor not the bottom right edge
Control buttons under screen are impossible to use
Good color, buttons feel nice, you have mounting options, and it is light-weight and solid
This screen has great picture and works fine my only gripe is that brightness is a key feature always on screens and they buried it inlittle menus you have to learn to click into with un-intuitive buttons along the bottom, with plenty of room along the bottom they couldhave easily put two buttons dedicated to brightness instead of ghosty controls like it has
I have two of these monitors on each side of my Asus monitor and while the asus stands firm, the two acers wobble quite a bit
My only complaint is that I don't really like where the button is to turn it on and off, I wish it was a bit easier to press, but I'm a stickler for turning my monitors off when I'm done
I was a bit skeptical that this monitor would be as great as people were saying, but it is
I would like t know what the buttons at the bottom of the screen do
I was very confident in the color settings for the Asus monitors, so I was a bit hesitant to buy this Acer model.
Even when I go to the menu to turn it back off, I still get bad ghosting
There's a site I visit more often than others, and when scrolling the text ghosts pretty bad, it's black text on a kind of blue/grey background and the ghosting is basically negative, as in it ghosts light almost white under the black text when scrolling
I would like t know what the buttons at the bottom of the screen do
Perfect for gaming or movie`s
Main complaint is ghosting or trailing when scrolling on websites with dark font and colors that aren't white
Approach with caution if you have sensitive eyes and pixel performance standards.
Since the monitor's brightness cannot be adjusted and ECO is the lowest I can get the screen to not hurt my eyes, is there a specific monitor screen protector for Acer R240HY?
Slight screen bleed in the top left but nothing too serious for a computer that is make to protect your eyes
I'm not into video editing or anything that requires more than Full HD, my eyes probably aren't good enough to tell the difference anymore, lol.
The viewing angles are pretty good and the anti glare does a pretty decent job, i very rarely see myself moving the monitor even though i have two windows right by my desk (one that lets light in directly onto my screen).I'm not sure if monitors actually hurt your eyes, but i've never experienced it with this one and i am on the
I was a little worried that some reviewers complained about light escaping along the edges in IPS monitors and also missing pixels but so far I have not noticed either problem on mine
Some reviewers complained that it was not very stable
I haven't checked for light bleed as the other reviewers, and to my eye the backlight is even
I haven't found the edge lighting to be as obtrusive as some reviewers have reported, perhaps because I don't play games in a very dark room, so that's a moot point for me
