This worked great for about 4 months and then died all of a sudden.

The first one I received was not working properly, the slightest movement caused it to lose contact and the phone would constantly be connecting/disconnecting or saying it was charging under low power with estimated charging times over 7 hours

Anyways, this new one works great and I haven't had any problems with it at all

I have mine paired with a different brand of aptX Low Latency transmitter which I have plugged into my 4k tv

That enables it to protrude from my console where my extra lighter plug is located because it protects the plug from easily being crimped.

Secondly because there is always tension on the plug, the plug has worked itself loose overtime and will not seat properly anymore

The tension either pulls the plug from the phone or the cigarette lighter.
