This is a very heavy chair and initially screams quality in terms of weight and build but after a few days I have the same issues I had with my 9 year old $200 chair.
Arm pads are still firm with just enough cushion for elbows, just right
Better arm rests ( thicker, wider and a bit more sturdy), better overall of materials (did not feel cheap) and great seat ( thick cushion that is comfortable to sit on for long periods of time

The seat has a very comfortable cushion and I don't get the sore muscles and back
Soft and thick cushion will help you relax and the soft material on the arm rests are also very good
It took a few days of working with the adjustment levers to find comfortable positions that work for me.
I was able to find a good position after 1-2 minutes of playing around and have left the chair in that position
I find it comfortable once you find the right position, but the very loud squeaking and non stop clank every time I move up or down is slowly driving me insane with it being only the second day of having this chair
With all of the various adjustments anybody can find a good comfortable position
I've seen other reviews mentioning that they couldn't find a comfortable position.
If that's what you plan to do, then this issue may not be a problem for you
I'm sure that as I get accustomed to the chair, it won't be an issue, but I've been spoiled by the $1200 super-ergo chairs at my office building, and can't help but wish for padded arms
I work from home, I have back and joint issues, and I'm currently 6 months pregnant.
Seriously, if you are a normal person the odor is not an issue and your health is not going to be compromised with the presence of this chair in you office or home.
Minor cosmetic issues not worth the hassle of disassembly and returning for an exchange

It was not a critical screw for functionality, but without it I could not complete the assembly until I go to hardware store and purchase a screw to install the backrest post bellow.
the screws on the back dosent fit into the hole as well as other parts being difficult to assembly
I recommend that you photograph the stages of unpacking in case there's, for example, a missing screw and you have to try to fit it all back in the box.
