It'll take you a while to get through the instructions, and the instruction manual on operations could be a little clearer, but this is a very nice product for the price

Alesis Nitro Kit is really a good product for beginners

In the minus column, the number of usable on-board sounds is pretty limited, and most of the stock kits pretty much sound the same.

The sound is so much better than I had hoped it would be

Great response from the pads, somewhat less from the cymbals and volumes require adjustment to get a well-rounded sound regardless of kit selection

only issue I have had is low sound to the bass pedal but you can still hear it probably an issue with just mine, who knows

The preset sounds are a great quality selection and the play-along songs are catchy and fun to play with

Other than the usual laborious time needed to assemble these kits, I was blown away by it initial quality, response, selection & options

Cons: 1) included pedal is cheap and if you play hard, it will break after a few months 2) the hi-hat pedal is slow and not responsive enough 3) out of the box, the sounds are unbalanced and need to be tweaked 4) cheap quality and components break easily 5) if playing with headphones lots of brands won't work (Bose, skull candy, and beats didn't work for me) and the few that due will have a constant hissing sound (kilpsch, audio technica, and bob Marley) 6) cross talk happens frequently 7) cymbals are not responsive enough and playing softly on the ride and the crash doesn't sound right

I doubt it would last long if I had to move it around frequently, as the hardware is not pro quality.

Other than that this is a very good quality drums for the price.

With further use of the drum set, it became apparent that when using song playback or learning mode, the drums were very quiet against the background music.

Module is great, especially when plugged into some good speakers

The module is fairly easy to figure out, but hard to see the buttons in a darker room.

Very easy to put together very straightforward, The sound modules has nice sounds and great features such as the learning features in the play along with song features, The pads are very responsive and if there is any lag with the latency I Can't tell.

The instructions for assembly are not very good (it would be easier if the parts were clearly labeled), but they weren't too hard to figure out.

The only real downside is the assembly, which took around an hour and a half because the instructions are pretty terrible

If there is an award for the world's worst setup instructions, this product would win hands down.

So many people complain about the terrible instructions and how the included one page sheet has wrong instructions.
