-
It's too bad because if they put just a little more effort forth this could have been a nice machine for the price
-
I used to have the Roland SPD-S, a very solid machine, so when I bought this, I thought perhaps it would be a little less solid, but still very good quality
-
, I would't recomend this product as it doesnt works properly even for a amateur musician.
-
As far as durability and solidity, the Roland is a 9+, this machine is maybe a 3+ TOPS
-
Even at the retail price, it's a great machine with a focused range of use

For the softer samples it’s somewhat difficult to hear over the rest of the mix

I got this pad and wouldn't not turn on so sent it back and got another one doing the same thing if it would work its a good deal
-
It's not the most flexible as far as placement, but wow, this thing doesn't flinch.

The SamplePad Pro is not perfect but offers tremendous bang for the buck if you are willing to spend the time needed to dial out the quirks

Love the Samplepad itself, but wish it came with a mount rather than having to purchase it separately

Reviews around screen (5.00 of 5)
-
Parameters will randomly change mid performance, the LED screen will blink on and off, the pads themselves are really unresponsive and not fun to play
-
: I'd like a brighter view screen for outdoor shows

The pads are a very nice sensitivity to them and the sound quality is actually good
-
I personally think the quality of the sound bank is good
-
And has very poor quality when using either outputs 1 or 2
-
Ehhhhh.....for 300 bucks, I expected a lot better quality

Reviews around unit (3.09 of 5)
-
Nice little unit for the money but the line noise on the output is unacceptable.
-
so I had the added joy of selling the brand new unit on Ebay for a loss
-
Got three defective units in a row: 1st wouldn't update, 2nd wouldn't power on right, 3rd pads started not registering right, even at the highest sensitivity.
-
One little fix and this would be a nice unit for those added effects in your group.
-
Only had this unit for a few months and the sound stopped working

-
Also, please note that a sample's size will be rounded up when loaded (e.g., a 2.1 MB sample on the SD card will be treated as a 3 MB sample when it is assigned to a pad)
-
The max number of files that can be located in the root directory is 512
