These remotes are hands down the worst remotes for any devices I've ever owned

We have lost the remote that came with the Firestick and I naively thought a replacement remote w would solve our problem

I'm thinking I have a faulty remote because out of the 7 days that I've had it, I've only been home for 4 to use it

When it actually works, it's not a bad little remote although I can't speak to the functionality of the voice activated component.

I replaced with good Energizer batteries, but all the acids that leaked from the Amazon batteries pretty much destroyed the remote.

This is an extremely unreliable remote

If your going to make a cheap a$$ remote, at least make the replacement cheaper then $29, because after a while people will just stop using it all

Definitely reccome getting a cover for it if you lose remotes easily

Selling it by itself also makes sense if you lose your remote or even accidently break it.

I feel that Amazon screwed the pooch, and their customers, with approving this crappy remote.

The Remote does not last, the search no longer works to the left, the remote has problems with the batteries and you have to remove and replace several times to work the remote

The thing is that for such a bad remote if you were to purchase only the replacement remote it would cost almost the same as buying the whole Fire Stick with remote included.

If I fall asleep to a movie and the firestick goes into sleep mode the remote constantly tries to reconnect until the batteries are dead.
