  • It works as expected though I believe the construction was not well thought out.

  • The card fails to sniff packets on networks most of the time
  • My favorite WiFi card (and I own several of them), supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and has a really great range
  • The whole point of me getting this adapter is to use it with my linux but still couldnt get it work as at today.**UPDATE**It's working like a charm now

Reviews around device (4.26 of 5)

  • Aside for a few hiccups in the first 8 months of ownership the device boosted my wifi speeds considerably over the linksys stick that I was using.
  • The device is great but the interface sucks
  • This device works well but there are better products for less money from the same manufacturer
  • Still not the best device ever but not the worst neither, due to the extra messing about.---------------------------------------------------------OLDER REVIEW *but

Reviews around wifi (4.16 of 5)

  • My favorite WiFi card (and I own several of them), supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and has a really great range
  • Excellent wifi adapter with monitor mode and packet injection.
  • I use the unit in my RV.I have stayed in an RV park will very weak wifi, only able to connect for a few minutes
  • So if you want a fast wifi connection with great range look no further then this ALFA AC1200 Wireless device.
  • Well, maybe he just wasn't doing something right."This is a "decent" WIFi adapter

Reviews around driver (3.95 of 5)

  • The best drivers I've found are not the official ones that's included in Kali 2017.3, and the better ones are still having power issues that aren't allowing these to see networks at any great distance
  • Running Linux, the driver disk was useless to me, but Alfa has the proper drivers on their website
  • Good product for windows but monitor mode needs better drivers for linux.
  • Easy driver installation for all three platforms, very fast throughput, monitor mode, even a nice removable surface mount/clip
  • Before you think it's possibly me using the wrong drivers: I've used the ones Windows automatically applies, as well as the ones downloaded directly from Alfa's website; I've used it with and without the RealTek software; I've tried it with and without my built-in wireless adapter enabled; and I've used it in varying locations around the room

Reviews around power (1.95 of 5)

  • , i.ee 'USB device has disconnected' and then reconnect.- Will lose power about once a week and not work unless I unplug and plug it
  • the ACH has shown good connectivity, it thoroughly lacks the power that is advertised
  • I was also unable to increase the transmit power in Kali with this device, whereas the same commands worked to boost power on the older 036H.If you are looking to use it for wireless audits in Kali, I'd suggest holding off on this unless you specifically need AC network support despite the caveats above
