Other than that the display is exceptional and you should never go below 3440×1440 for an ultrawide.
-
Amazing display nothing to complain about
-
But it lacks HDMI 2.1 or 2.0 and the backlight glow is horrible, no support form Dell with applciations like Display Manager which is not handy for professional use
-
Very good display for gaming, business & content creation.
-
It's display is simply amazing.
-
Build quality is excellent as expected from Dell (they make the best displays), and their warranty is second to none
-
Love the light option under the display - perfect for reading docs etc at night!
-
This Alienware checks all the boxes and is an incredible display
-
It's a very bright display has to be around 450 nits Max brightness
-
Pros: Didn’t have to tinker with settings, absolutely beautiful display, vivid colors, well built monitor stand, better than I expected... side note: went from platinum rank in rocket league to diamond in the first few hours on the new monitor, might be unrelated but ultra wide definitely feels advantageous
-
The built in cable managment is awesome, the display is crisp and beautiful, and the viewing angels are amazing
-
The only negatives I haveWith some brief google searching, it appears to be a known issue among AW users with the AW software to adjust lighting via the desktop application
-
Overall I am happy with the AW3420DW for the significantly better build quality, as well as having a dedicated G-SYNC module for the more graphically intensive games I play where frame rate can fluctuate more.
-
I've played previously only at 4K for about 8 months, and when I went back to 1080p I was astounded as to how much better my computer handled it.

Even the alien head logo on the back is nicer and more subtle/less gamer-y.
