The following calibrations are a compromise to get a great gaming experience even in a well lit room but still have an acceptable color accuracy

Whether it’s smooth gaming or lots of computing work, it performs splendidly and gives me everything I wanted.

Make sure you have a great computer to push all the pixels or else you won't be happy gaming.

Fantastic gaming monitor

My 165Hz 27” Asus is an outstanding gaming monitor and I feel that the AW3420DW is just as good, only bigger.

This is a great gaming monitor.

I'm left wondering if I should have bought a cheaper gaming monitor and kept using my old Dell for photos.

This makes a great desktop monitor as well as a gaming monitor.

Gaming is phenomenal, regular web use and browsing is buttery smooth.

I'm not a competitive gamer, but the G-SYNC implementation and 120 Hz refresh rate make for a smooth gaming experience.- The curve is good for immersive FPS gaming.- Out of the box color

Great gaming monitor with great color and brightness

To be honest, my "perfect" gaming monitor would be a 4K or similar curved OLED panel, with HDR and G-sync, and a reasonable size for my desk (55" Alienware is too big).

Comparing the two, the LG 34GN850 is definitely better in most ways, minus build quality and G-SYNC (worth noting that the LG is G-SYNC compatible via software, and I noticed no issues with it)

Overall I am happy with the AW3420DW for the significantly better build quality, as well as having a dedicated G-SYNC module for the more graphically intensive games I play where frame rate can fluctuate more.

I've played previously only at 4K for about 8 months, and when I went back to 1080p I was astounded as to how much better my computer handled it.

The only negatives I haveWith some brief google searching, it appears to be a known issue among AW users with the AW software to adjust lighting via the desktop application
