The top has a little pad, and the base has some nonslip pads that keep eliminate rattling and desk scratches while adding some non-slip capability

I bought one of these last year for my work (I do a daily morning radio show) and while it works great, is just a little short and a few pairs of my headphones come all the way down to the surface under the base and while it isn't a big deal, I would prefer they didn't

The base is simple to assemble, but the only issue is making sure the top lines up with the base so it doesn't fall over when you put your cans on it

Very sturdy... the last brand I had broke
