Great battery life, GPS tracking exceptional for a smart watch in this price range

This is exactly what I need, very affordable, easy to use, insanely long-lasting battery, and a GPS.

Purchased mostly for an economical GPS watch, and I have been pretty impressed with the accuracy of the watch

I then bought a Samsung Gear Fit Pro 2 in February of 2018 ($200), and found out too late that the GPS was useless when I would go for a run, it wasn't accurate at all.

Summing it up, for the money its a great fitness tracker with some basic smart watch capabilities that I can recommend as a first smart watch.

It fits well, works as well as any other smart tracker that I have used, and is very stylish.

ridiculous battery life, always-on screen, nice-looking (looks like the Apple watch, i been told so by Apple-watch owner), heart rate, GPS, pedometer, sleep tracking, thousands of watch faces, nice fitness tracking info in the app, and syncs with Google fit toothe only negative is that the contrast of the display isn't as sharp as it is on my Garmin vivosmart, but this may just be what happens with color e-ink displays

Then you can track your sleep, and even if I don't totally buy the specific stats the mi fit app provides me, I appreciate that it keeps track of when I fall asleep and wake up each day accurately enough

Once the GPS locks the tracking is really accurate every time for my use.

The tracking works really well and if it's off, I can't tell

Had a competing, more expensive product performed in a similar way I would likely be far less satisfied

Most products and apps track total calories burned, which is more helpful and motivating

Its so easy to use, has a no-clutter functionality feel to it that is quick and easy, and just an overall fantastic product

Overall, though, it is a very good product, and a very good value.

Overall I think this product is excellent and I'm glad I went with my gut instead of just buying one of the big name brands like FitBit for twice the price.

It does lack certain features that most smart watches have, but it does well for tracking steps

Negative features: the only negative is minor - the Mi Fit app is pretty "lean"

The always-on screen and long-lasting battery are killer features for me

Battery life is anazing if you don't use all the features all the time like gps, notifications, heart sensor it will last a month if sparingly used

The only thing that annoys me is the lack of emoji support

I couldn't justify spending apple dollars (aside from my dislike for all things apple-made) or any other quality dollars and the thing had to be square or rectangular, not circular (I dislike most things circular as much if not more than I dislike things apple-made).

The thing is super durable, thin enough that it doesn't snag on everything

I really wanted to like this thing, it's a great looking little watch

It's main focus is fitness tracking, but if you were serious about that, you'd use a real fitness watch that had integration beyond a basic, 2 screen, highly limited app

The Android app for this watch is terrific and it syncs everything through bluetooth

My only disappointment with this device is that the app for it is not compatible with tablets

But if you are looking a good cheap, good looking, watch that has decent HR, sleep monitoring, and great app, then this watch fits that bill

Even though I have all the "battery draining features" cranked up on it, I still only have to charge it once per week.

It just seems like this company actually understood what a watch is used for and instead of packing in a ton of questionable battery draining features took the time to understand how a watch is actually used and just nailed it

I notice the battery drains quicker when you are GPS tracking your activity, but that makes complete sense.

I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cheap entry into the smart watch market; the one star was deduced because while the watch receives messages from apps well enough (save for a redundant alert-message everytime a Messenger alert comes through), however there is no send functionality from the watch itself.

However my biggest disappointment is the calorie burn is so catastrophically wrong

The calorie burn hurts that it's so wrong, but I kept it there as well as distance in the hopes that it will be fixed in a future update..... but then the blue tooth failed

Meanwhile the elliptical machine says I burned 365 calories just in the 25 minutes of exercise

but it was way off (played ice hockey for 60 minutes and said I burned 194 calories when it should have been in the 400-600 calorie range at the lowest)

Without a decent software package the watch is useless.

The watch is slow to react, the software that comes with it is useless, and the watch itself isn't intuitive to use at all.

The MiFit software is surprising robust and deep and blows away anything I've used before (looking at you Pebble OG...)

The Amazfit Bip has all of the things I need plus incredibly AMAZING battery life (most awesome feature), a heart rate monitor, water resistance, and is actually reasonably sized and cute on my smallish wrist.
