Harness Spider-Man’s powers with Manhattan as your playground! Set shortly after the events of Columbia Pictures' new film, The Amazing Spider-Man throws New York City's brand new hero back into free-roami...
The city looks good, with a variety of looks, nighttime, daytime, riot-zone, dusk
As expected, the graphics are top notch and the city looks gorgeous with its various times of day and states, depending where you are on the story missions
So if playing dress-up as spiderman, swinging around a well developed city and having epic boss battles sounds like a good time to you, then this is worth buying
There are even special collectibles to pick up in the game's main missions like magazines, audio logs, and tech pieces that provide Spidey with XP, although the special comic book pages you can find while free-roaming the city are way more fun to collect
I don't think its quite as good as Batman Arkham City but still a fun game experience.
I haven't really been interested in purchasing another Super Hero game since that PS2 rendition of the Incredible Hulk, but this game tickled my fancy with a quill feather,
, this is without a doubt one of the best super hero games I've played
Ever since I was a little boy, Batman and Spider-man have always been my favorite super heroes and part of what came with that favoritism was playing the games based on said heroes
I would recommend starting the game on Super Hero to avoid this and save yourself about 7-8 hours

But when you're free roaming throughout the city, this game really shines and actually makes you feel like Spider-man
Well I got this game because I love the past Spiderman games being free roam and open world
The best things of all, are all the new Spidey suits you can play as in the game, the amazing free roam city and the combat
Good thing Beenox added the free-roam/open world compatability that was dearly missed in "Shattered Dimensions" and "Edge of Time" (with EOT being their shortest Spidey game)
For starters its free roam unlike the previous 2 spiderman games
It's a neat element that in some ways overpowers Spider-man but at the same time can really give you a "
Man 2 was the best game ever created, but that my friend is now history because The Amazing Spider-Man has surpassed Spider-Man 2 in every way.
The Amazing Spider-Man incorporates the combat system we all know and love from the Batman games with a plot that follows the events that take place after the movie, in a game that presents you with a good amount of challenges and objectives
If you've played previous Spider-Man games you doubt have high expectations for this game.
Of course I love Amazing Spider-Man the movie, and I don't love this game as much as the movie
I could easily accept it if the swinging was at all enjoyable
In Spider-Man 2 you could do easy web-swinging using one button, or take the few minutes to get used to timing buttons and triggers and the web mechanics to speed through the city
But in my opinion, the swinging in this game feels really good and you can really feel the speed and momentum
I enjoy the swinging through out new York its really fun even better when I'm smoked out
The camera works well for the most part, but can be disorienting when web-swinging up tall buildings and such
The previous movie-based installments in the franchise like Spider-Man 2 and 3 were pretty well done, and I enjoyed the new movie this game is based on
Story-line:This game takes place in the universe of the recently rebooted Amazing Spider-Man movie.
Overall, The Amazing Spider-man is a must play game for people who liked the movie, like his other games, like Spider-man, or just want to try something new
Of course I love Amazing Spider-Man the movie, and I don't love this game as much as the movie
Of course I love Amazing Spider-Man the movie, and I don't love this game as much as the movie
If you ever wanted to feel like Spiderman exploring an open city at will, this is the closest you're going to get on current systems until the next game
if you want a great Spiderman Game, despite any ill will you might have towards Activision.
, I LOVED the new movie and this game plays just like you'd think an "Amazing" Spiderman game would play
If it weren't for the automated feel of the whole experience and the average story, I'll even say it was the best Spiderman game to date
I would rate this game a 9.0/10.Positives:-Good Graphics-Combat System Works-Swinging around the city looks and feels AMAZING!-Continues the story of where the movie left offNegatives:-Some indoor areas can be repetitive as you can sometimes encounter the same enemies over and over.-The story might be confusing if you didn't watch the movie
The story is mediocre at best and more apt to just a retelling of the movie with a few slight additions.
Metal Gear Solid will always have a great story, and Far Cry 3 really suprised with its voice acting
The acting is great, the story is great, the dialogue however, can get annoying
Story is well done (by comic book standards) again, I wouldnt compare it to the story in games like Metal Gear, but that doesnt mean its a horrible story
The indoor parts of this game include fighting bad guys in close quarters combat and there are even rooms where stealth is the key
When simply web-swinging or running around, the camera remains at a close right side angle behind Spider-Man and then pulls back when he's fighting bad guys
In the past games, you can use the spider-sense to scan for bad guys, dodge projectiles and look for items
The game dosent bring u in it like other games do
Of course, I do understand that it is probably because it is a sequel to the film and they are saving the better bad guys for the movies first
It will probably get old until you can upgrade the abilities of what you do when you hit the enemy after rushing him, such as web-hurricane or slowed-down take out moves which look pretty cool.
sometimes when you are climbing the ceilings, your character loses the ability to look around.
Sometimes the ability is very finicky and will often either stop short of where you told Spider-Man to
