For most uses for this, I just have two-prong plugs, so this flatter Amazon unit is a better design.(My GE one is cheaper, but that's apples to oranges since it has less circuitry: no surge protection nor indication of grounded outlets.)
Nice design and nice
Nice, compact design, easy to use and seems to be doing the job.
Seems to be well-made and well-designed
Good design, easy to use.

Like the USB ports, useful and don't have to use a separate outlet just for USB.
The USB ports work fine for me to charge my phone, tablet, etc, and I can't really tell much of a difference between using it and a stock charger, for a phone
The ring security system utilizes a usb to wall adapter type of charger, so I was able to eliminate a wall plug, and utilize the USB port, freeing up one extra outlet
I like the USB ports on it, though I haven't even tried them because if where I've chosen to use it
Simple to install, not bulky, very inexpensive ~ great little surge protector, especially if you want to keep the cords out of the way!
Anyone looking for a good reliable multi outlet surge protector should look no further!
Because my power company (PGE) delivers a LOT of unexpected power outages, I need surge protectors on all household outlets that service expensive-to-replace electronic equipment (e.g., microwave oven, coffeepot, TV, toaster). This wall mount surge protector works well in my kitchen, where I have several small appliances that I like to leave plugged in.
It might be a fine surge protector, but the inaccurate description which describes a function it does not actually have earns this 1 star.

With a hefty three-prong plug and six outlets, and an acceptable low profile for installing behind furniture, this Amazon Basics Wall Surge Protector does everything I expect it to do
An ungrounded outlet can be the source of as many problems as nearby lightning strikes
I needed an extra outlet in my office, easy to install and works as described.
It is not too thick and works great when you're trying to plug in a lot of things, but only have one accessible outlet.
I just ended up plugging this into a loose regular outlet that is supposed to be for 2 connections, but had a loose fit
Great way to increase the outlets from your wall, works very well, easy to install love that it comes with a screw to attache it to the outlet
This is a great way to get more capacity out of your wall outlet.
Great, cheap, easy way to add more outlets.

but I have found, unfortunately, the hard way, no matter how expensive the surge protector, lightning will still destroy it if a direct or close to direct hit on the house
(as is the case with some others)USB ports seem to charge phones as quickly as the stock charger for me (every device is different, however)Looks cleaner than a power strip (my subjective opinion)Cons
traditional power strips that lay on the floor look particularly ugly if you have glass tables or minimalist decor.
Not to mention the power surges and outages that plague our neighborhood
The USB plugs lets them charge their devices as well as powering other things like a small fan.
I use them where I don’t want an ugly power strip on the floor
