Sound quality is horrid as in the $30 generic no name brand speaker you buy from walmart has better quality and a deeper bass
It does everything it’s supposed to do with very good sound quality
Don't listen to anyone who says the sound quality is poor, this isn't designed to be your main echo device, it's an addition to
and didn't want to lose the sound quality that the Tap offers, and really couldn't justify the expense of purchasing a speaker of equal quality to the Tap, so we dealt with the popping issue.
the sound quality is so much better than the others, that I can overlook that part.
It does need WiFi to be enabled so the portability of it, does have a downfall, unless you use your hotspot or are in a location that has WiFi
n’t feel like cheap plastic that it would be great sound
The music is distorted I regret i that i did not return the tap to upgrade to a better model.
good speaker, portability is great, but didn't like that i couldn't add it to my "echo group".
So I like to charge my BT speaker on my nightstand, and if I accidentally forget to turn off the Tap, it and the Echo seem to get confused as to which device should handle the request
The sound is great on the Tap as good as it is on the Alexa tower
This doesn't work half as well as the dot as far as Alexa is concerned

This device does not support messaging and does not support multi-room music that we've come to love from the other echo devices.
and it's useless for the intercom function, which sucks as we could have really used that

I love that I can take it all over the house (upstairs and down) as well as in the
Not as good as the original but will do in a pinch, still trying to figure out why it keeps losing connection wifi and/or bluetooth
The reason I give 1 star is because for some reason Amazon is ignoring this device with all the new call/communication and multi-room features

Controls are not as intuitive as with the other Echo devices and can’t use it without WiFi at all, so that’s a bummer, but nice to use out by the pool.

I also find that both the Echo and the Tap 'hear' better than the Dot, especially in a noisy room.
Fills the room with music and my parrot loves it.
I was disappointed in the inability of the Tap to join in with “multi-room” music and the inability of the Tap to wake me to a Song.
It'll fill a room well enough and the voice controls are very handy
After further review, no multi-room is disappointing but it is an excellent portable speaker and the fact it streams music and radio stations offsets my beef.

This speaker does not sound as crisp as other B/T speakers that I have acquired --- It does, however, put out a most pleasant, warm sound --- especially when playing ethereal new age music, which is my favorite genre
Tap will lose connection from wifi, which I understand can happen.. but once it does it will never work properly from that connected device again
It does have great range and volume, but definitely needs a better functioning connection, both the Wi-Fi connection and the Bluetooth experience the same.
But for no identifiable reason tap would lose its internet connection while in a stationary location..
The second issue is that the tap does not support the Drop in Feature
First, let me state that neither one is 100% perfect, because at times, Alexa has a hearing problem (confuses B, V, D for example or doesn't hear me at all)
I initially thought the "Drop In" feature was weird but then warmed up to the idea of being able to drop in and tell everyone else dinner was ready
the only con that I have for it is that it does not support drop in or calling
Not only receiving a drop-in call, but making a drop-in call to Echo or Echo Dot is not supported
