Reviews around flavor (5.00 of 5)

  • Fast and fun special flavors of homemade ice cream
  • They liked the flavor but it was pretty runny
  • My flavors were good since I used my own recipe, but it was sad that so much effort had to go into the actual churning process

Reviews around consistency (3.86 of 5)

  • When all the contents have had the opportunity to come in contact with the wall, the ice cream has frozen to a soft serve consistency
  • n’t think I’ll bother with this again
  • Took about 20 minutes to get a soft consistency
  • This is my first ice cream maker that doesn't require the use of rock salt, so, again, some skepticism, but after the initial 24 hour wait for the bowl to freeze and a few hours for the base to get cold, it took only 20 minutes for it to churn to a not-so-soft serve consistency (it was a lot firmer than I anticipated!)
  • It had been freezing perfectly in the machine and was close to reaching perfect consistency if the machine hadn't stopped on its own

Reviews around maker (3.61 of 5)

  • This was the least expensive ice-cream maker on Amazon, so I wasn't expecting much
  • For the price this is a totally fine ice cream maker and we have enjoyed trying all the recipes (chocolate is great, mango sorbet freezes hard as a rock) but it seems to be too much ice cream when following the amounts in the recipe
  • I’ve had the expensive ice cream makers in the past and this one works just as well, if not better

Reviews around result (3.44 of 5)

  • Turns out my decision yielded perfectly good results
  • As per manual, you have to froze the inner tub for at least 12-24 hours to get better result
  • Wish it was more consistent because the results are great when the motor doesnt burn out before the mix time is thru.
  • And thus, it makes for a frustrating result
  • Make sure you follow the instructions and recipes exactly for the best results.

Reviews around water (3.22 of 5)

  • I noticed that when I tried t fix my mistake- after scraping everything out and rinsing the freezer bowl with hot water.. I dumped the mixture through lid port and the paddle started grinding- making the loud noise like some mentioned
  • So then I had to poor out contents, clean out freezer bowl using hot water
  • After I scraped the ice cream out from the freezer bowl, I quickly washed it out with hot water, then I popped it back in the freezer
  • n’t think I’ll bother with this again
  • The freezer bowl has a liquid in it (presumably water) and must be frozen until you shake it and hear no sloshing liquid - about 24 hours.

Reviews around style (3.22 of 5)

  • n’t think I’ll bother with this again
  • This unit is nicely styled, easy to operate, and easy to clean
  • However, there are a few caveats:-Provided that your freezer bowl and ice cream mix have been well-chilled, the machine will churn out soft serve-style ice cream in 20-30 minutes

Reviews around ice cream (3.07 of 5)

  • The ice cream we make is less expensive and tastes as good as any I’ve ever had
  • At that rate it would take 3 hours to make the ice cream to allow the machine to cool down
  • When all the contents have had the opportunity to come in contact with the wall, the ice cream has frozen to a soft serve consistency
  • I’ve had the expensive ice cream makers in the past and this one works just as well, if not better
  • All ice cream.. when made correctly, according to directions have been superb.

Reviews around time (3.04 of 5)

  • The icecream maker stops after 20mn, not enough time to freeze the cream and won't start twice
  • Don't waste your time on this and spend the money on a quality product.
  • n’t think I’ll bother with this again
  • The machine did shut down one time out of 3 but as soon as it cools it starts working again.
  • So, yeah, follow the instructions and you'll have a good time.

Reviews around machine (2.88 of 5)

  • Followed the instructions the second time and the machine became quite finicky, getting stuck in the rotation and splashing the ingredients
  • The machine broke after about 20 minutes on my first use
  • Clean up was easy and the machine is pretty compact making storage easy
  • I wish I would have spent a little more and got a better machine.
  • I've used a machine similar to this before and this one works about the same

Reviews around ingredient (1.44 of 5)

  • Taken from the freezer and filled, the bowl super chills the ingredients
  • Freeze the outer container, put cold ingredients in the cream container and let it churn
  • The frozen insert has a really limited amount of cooling, so if your ingredients are warm it won't be able to cool them off enough
  • n’t think I’ll bother with this again
  • I wasted ingredients and I wasted a days worth of waiting

Reviews around container (1.41 of 5)

  • This will work better when it's cooler than when it's hot so the container doesn't warm up too fast
  • Because the unit is iceless, you need to freeze the container before using it
  • Freeze the outer container, put cold ingredients in the cream container and let it churn
  • This set is "iceless," so instead of using ice you freeze the whole container that you mix the milk and sugar in
  • Traditional ice cream makers use ice and salt to cool a container full of milk and sugar, while a paddle stirs the milk and sugar to keep it from freezing hard

Reviews around mixture (1.38 of 5)

  • After all the prep work which was freezing the bowl, making the mixture and chilling the mixture it took about 25 minutes of churning to get the end product
  • Additionally, any mixture you want to use must be pre-chilled for 20 hours.
  • When I scraped it into a bowl, the mixture on the bottom and sides were so frozen that I had to let it sit out for a bit (about 15min) before I could clean it
  • I noticed that when I tried t fix my mistake- after scraping everything out and rinsing the freezer bowl with hot water.. I dumped the mixture through lid port and the paddle started grinding- making the loud noise like some mentioned
  • It didn’t freeze my ice cream mixture

Reviews around bowl (1.32 of 5)

  • You need to freeze the includes bucket bowl for 24 hours and the mixture of sugar, heavy cream, whole milk, etc needs to be refrigerated for a day
  • Just freeze the inside bowl for 24 hours and you are ready to make 1.5qt of ice cream, sorbet, or any other frozen treat!
  • You must refrigerate your mixture before you put it in the ice cream maker, you must freeze the mixing bowl overnight or it will produce a soup, and you better add the ingredients with the machine already running or you'll overwhelm the motor
  • - The bowl, which is double walled, is super frozen, and you will just have extra frozen ice cream
  • We removed the motor and paddle and placed the bowl back in the freezer while the motor cooled

Reviews around noise (1.00 of 5)

  • I noticed that when I tried t fix my mistake- after scraping everything out and rinsing the freezer bowl with hot water.. I dumped the mixture through lid port and the paddle started grinding- making the loud noise like some mentioned
  • I turned on the machine and the ice cream maker started making horrible jolting noises
  • Then swift back and forth movement that jolts the machine around and makes a loud (very loud) clanky noise
