This is a solid case that appears to be made of high quality components (strong outer nylon shell, semi-rigid foam, decent zipper).

This case is a decent quality and semi-flexible (it's not "hard shell").

under that is a hard shell, so I think it will protect the camera if dropped

I didn't want my lens to get scratched when not in use so this is perfect for packing up my camera and throwing it in my bag.

Still pretty good for the price, just ended up wrapping the Gopro in a microfiber towel to ensure nothing would shift over and scratch the lens.

One thing I don't like is that it's almost too small height-wise: the face of the gopro comes in solid contact with the netting right above it and you need to be careful of what you put in that net pocket, as it could scratch the lens

They should have designed it so that the lens of the camera is better protected, but it still works fine
