The only issue I found with it is that due to the small footprint, I wasn't able to extend the arm more than 2/3 horizontally, as the tripod would fall
Good Tripod for the price, however I think it should come with a mic holder
The AmazonBasics tripod boom microphone stand is great for handheld mics and light to medium weight microphones
They are light weight, but fold out to a very stable tripod.
This is a solid mic tripod that is incredibly secure yet precise in its adjustable heights and angles
This boom would work great with lighter mics like shotgun mic, but it does work with the yeti too.
The non-removable boom will not support any standard mic: I put my Shure SM58 on, tightened the boom as much as possible, and at a 45 degree angle it just droops on down - completely useless for stage
Tripod legs and adjustable boom allows for stability are versatility
Cons:Not a heavy stable boom, but you get what you pay for
Bottom Line:If you need a cheap boom mic stand for on stage or recording, you can buy this and it will probably work for you
It’s built wth pretty cheap plastic, but it works as needed.
It's made of cheap recycled plastic and there's no way it has any lasting quality
Mic holder was broken when received, really cheap plastic if there is such a thing
They have a metal tripod base which is nice, perhaps it would be nice to have a metal top clamp too (though the plastic is working great) and an even lower price
It is a cheap plastic mic stand, so I should have known what to expect
so minor bumps/shakes and heavier mics can cause problems or the stand leaning/fallingThe very light-weight stand does make it easier for moving around when needed and adjusting it is a breeze
just fine, but I mostly use a mic stand to either hold my iPad Pro on gigs, or to hold much more expensive studio mics.
i don't like tripod stands because heavy mics will make them fall over
The mount is extremely simple to use, and once properly tightened is incredibly secure, even with some of the heaviest dynamic mics I use.
While I wouldn’t trust this stand with heavier mics like an RE20, MD 241, SM7-B or heavy condenser mics , they are fine for SM58’s and basically any handheld mic
