2017 MacBook Pro and, even if I were willing to pay more (or ordering on an expense account), there's absolutely no reason to pay more than 3x the price for Apple's version of this adapter (especially given their recent quality control issues).

Five stars because "it just works" plus Apple's version of this cable is a lot more expensive.----------Update (July 2018

it does what its meant to do versus the super expensive apple version

So far no complaints nor regrets purchasing the AmazonBasics cable over Apple's more expensive version
