My wife had a code pop up for what was possibly a loose gas cap

Had a check engine light on a '98 Mountaineer that turned out to be a loose gas cap

Turned out, I had an "Evaporative Emissions Leak", which could be caused by a loose gas cap

Paid for itself already, since I had a loose gas cap and had to test a couple to find one that worked.

Used Google to see what it meant, and for that make and year, a loose gas cap was listed first as possible causes

This isn't that big of a deal (you just go and click the cap again to secure it) but it causes an EVAP

If it does nothing else but let you know that the engine light is just a loose gas cap, it's worth the price 10 times over.

Worked well there but couldn't decipher a code indicating loose gas cap.

Tightened the gas cap, cleared the code, and bingo, problem solved

As a 1st time user, I was able to quickly plug in, ascertain why my check engine light was on (loose gas cap) via code (see attached) & quick internet search, & then solve it in my driveway.

I found out I had a bad gas cap quick and easy fix.
