While I can't comment on the suction feature for the optional dash/windshield mount, I can say that I love the additional vent clip feature

About 1 month of owning the clip, mainly used the vent clip attachment, the plastic on the side of the vent clip broke off

That being said, the air vent clip does qork well, but in 80 degree weather, I'd rather have the air flow but had to sacrifice since that's the only place it would fit.

I want to rate this higher and give more positive feedback but I tried to mount the holder to air vent and as I was rotating ring after attaching holder to the vent clip, I am now unable to detach the holder from the clip because ring is on too tight apparently
