Since my IPhone 7 plus is heavier than current models, I went to tighten the nut to hold my phone in place and cracked it.

I was concerned that the holder would block most of the air-flow from the vent, but I was able to mount it on the extreme right side of the vent, so it only blocks about 20% of it, and this might even be a benefit on hot days, since the A/C may cool the phone and prevent overheating, which was the case when I used a suction-type phone holder mounted to my windshield.
