Other than that the quality seems good and the price is right.
Worked well for me the hinges are wonky straight out the box but thats nothing but a easy fix from home depot and a good priced slate compared to other ones
It gets the job done for a relative reasonable price while informing you editor/crew of what shot your setting up for
currently the price is incredible the three screws we're a bit loose for my liking but nothing an allen key can't fix in 10 seconds over all amazing.
It's a nice prop to have as a film student and at a good price (:
Dry Erase just look like mud after two or three scenes and the only thing we found that cleans it is Formula 2000 car wax.
But worse, writing with a proper dry erase marker, it is VERY difficult to erase...and in spite of best efforts, there is still a ghosting of the original letters.

The board was going to be part of a gift basket with a bunch of movie/film related items, but it was so smart and attractive looking that I decided to wrap and present it separately
The look of this slate is really nice and it has all of the slots and marks that a really expensive high end one has

Solid slate - only problem I've had with it so far is the magnet has come loose -

I've had to repaint the slate and now just have to live with the filthy slate because I don't want to risk taking off more paint.
Slate was literally broken when I removed it from the box

Liked it but does not wipe off even when using dry erase markers.
Writing on the board with dry erase markers is a breeze and very easy to erase
But as soon as I grabbed a dry erase marker and wrote on it, it would not erase!!
It did not erase any of the dry erase marker even when we used the spray eraser liquid
