This is a really neat device, that gives you internet and three additional USB ports for small computers or laptops without ethernet jacks
Anker is a decent company and I have not bought a device from this company that I don't like yet.
Great little device that worked out of the box on Linux and Windows, getting me away from a proprietary ethernet dangle on my ThinkPad X1 Carbon without limiting my USB ports, and even giving me extra
Especially since the device is utterly useless without the ethernet driver.
It is a great compact device that will serve its purpose.

I haven't put the externals through massive use, but the fact that it can actually load them both is pretty cool!---- Original -----Ethernet works well, don't expect to use any of the USB ports, except maybe one
The bad: on my new Macbook pro running OS 10.13.3 this works TERRIBLE.
Built well, works great, highly recommend, would buy it again.
I needed something with an ethernet port which the Air doesn't have and this has worked great.
This one works perfect and its faster then the PCI-E Ethernet card I had installed in my computer

There are a lot of less expensive portable Ethernet - USB docks that look identical to this one, but Anker really is top notch quality
Great little device that worked out of the box on Linux and Windows, getting me away from a proprietary ethernet dangle on my ThinkPad X1 Carbon without limiting my USB ports, and even giving me extra
Unfortunately the Ethernet didn't work until I downloaded drivers from Anker's website
the Anker 3 Port USB/Ethernet hub is by far the best Ethernet to USB adapter for the price.
Works immediately in my Windows 10 Laptop just as I expected, with good Ethernet functionality and USB speed

My Wacom Intuos tablet and ethernet connection do not work through this hub on my Windows 10 laptop.
I just bought a Lenovo Yoga 900, and it has limited connection ports for external devices.
The usb A of a pen drive end up being too much hot, I don't think it is normal.3 - sometimes the system (Linux) stop seeing the device and the connection is lost and only returns after remove and reinsert the device.
My ethernet port on my desktop pc quit working, and my wireless connection to my router was awful.
so it definitely does not slow down the connection (thank you USB 3.0)

Works beautifully and now I have a few more USB ports available
A little pricey, but worth the cost, it’s a perfect adapter for any laptop either missing Ethernet Port, or lacking USB ports, transfer speeds are fast and steady!

I needed to be able to connect ethernet cable to my laptop that lacks an ethernet port; so this was the perfect way to do that and give myself a few more USB ports to play with.
This the second Anker USB 3.0 port I have purchased recently the first one was for My Dell Laptop which lacked an Ethernet port, the second one was for my Wife's Lenovo laptop.

Perfect number of ports, driving keyboard and external hard drive
I have a two usb port Macbook Pro which I used with an old USB 2 ethernet combo hub, which worked fine except it wouldn't power portable hard drives
And the USB ports let me plug in a mouse and a hard drive.
But this is an understood limitation and I have no plans to "max out" the device - a portable hard drive (which typically would have a high current draw) will always be connected directly to the computer using a separate USB port and not through this USB hub
I also have an external hard drive connected to one of the USB ports with no issues.

Apparently this is a known issue; just Google "USB 3.0 wireless interference
There is a known issue with wireless peripherals and USB 3.0 where if the ports are not well isolated, you can get interference with these devices
There is a known issue with Macs where usb 3.0 hubs stop working spontaneously - the fault is with apple but beware you're basically buying something that's going to become unusable on a Mac.
