What we like a bout the Ansmann chargers is that they are simple and work very well.
It has a sturdy build quality, the springs that hold the contacts up against the batteries seem to be tighter than others I've owned, and so far it has performed exactly as described

It seems to gently charge the battery and it the battery gets warm but not too hot too touch when charging.

This charger, though very expensive, does as fine of a job as any product of its kind of assuring you get the most possible long term maximized service from your metal hydride rechargeable batteries.
