Great monitor for a great price, can't go wrong with this one

I bought this from my local computer store (MicroCenter) instead of Amazon due to the ridiculous prices here.

AOC 24G2 is a great monitor if (1) you luck out in the panel lottery, or (2) you're willing to overlook dead subpixels and/or glaring uniformity issues for the cheap price tag.tl;dr2

Was unsure about purchasing this Monitor, but it had the specs I wanted for a great price

It's a good picture, accurate enough colors, and out of the box I was happy with the settings

You absolutely MUST turn bright frame on at 100, or else you get this smeary effect on dark colors

I'd be genuinely surprised if it was able to produce deep dark colors accurately

This monitor is an excellent choice for color as well; colors are vibrant and the blacks are very dark

Has a little backlight bleed but its fine, nice colors once you adjust them to your prefrence.

I dont mean that it's unusable at 20 percent, I mean brightness maxed out, picture settings adjusted, gaming modes, the monitor is ridiculously dim

It's not too bad for normal office type work, but it looks absolutely horrible in a dark room with a dark picture on the screen, which is common in gaming.

My second con is that there is no joystick to change/calibrate the monitor, it has its buttons on the bottom to navigate, which was sort of disappointing considering my previous monitor had it, but had worse picture and build quality than this one

I am planning on switching to a dual monitor stand, but for now, this stand is great

The stand is great as it is very easily adjustable and reliable

I highly recommend this for people who want a 144hz IPS monitor, especially if you need a solid adjustable height stand.

Excellent gaming monitor and works well for casual use also

Being a VA panel, gaming can produce slight image blur or ghosting; however, AOC has done great work refining the technology and this limitation is absolutely minimal

Great Gaming monitor looks amazing and really great for the price

Admittedly, all of the built-in presets for gaming look pretty awful

The monitor has adaptive sync capabilities and works with gsync perfectly.

If you are trying to use g-sync with the adaptive sync, unfortunately this will cause brightness flickering which is very painful on the eyes

It has free sync but unfortunately is not gsync compatible

but I hope it’s problems from bad chinese usb C to displayport cable products

I had been under the impression that the curve was a gimmick, but I can say confidently that it isn't

Looks great, I was expecting the curve to be a lot more annoying than actually it is (still getting used to it tho).

Great Monitor has a really nice curve but make sure you shut off freesync it sucks and makes the game feel laggy and behind.

When moving, things on the screen will leave behind a purple shadow for a moment.- Built in game mode profiles are all overly bright, grainy, or extremely dark.- Curve is a gimmick

The monitor has great articulation for the price point, and though I wasn't sure I'd like the curve, I don't have an issue with it

For me a gamer this product is fine just the way it is with no tuning

They look much better than my custom setting, but my custom setting has much less ghosting/smearing/trailing, thus I have to use Custom for games, and ironically, can only use "Gamer 2 and 3" on desktop

I am using a 1080ti andusing the gsync/ freesync has caused me quite a bit of flickering issues, so I run it with it off and it has been fine

The white wasn't really white in the bottom left corner, and the backlight bleeding in the bottom right corner was bad enough it was visible under overhead light

As for the PROS, it is just as repetitive as the other reviews out there
