It gets reasonably loud and the bass is adequate at low-mid volume

The bass isn't as effective with rock/heavy metal at higher volumes

(The sound seems confined because of this)But this can be resolved:Being an audiophile had to use equalizer to lower the mids and get the rich bass by tuning up lower frequencies.

Big sound in a small package, very deep rich bass for size.

indoors it can be very loud, but as the volume goes up the bass sounds more like a solid "P" sound, but you can easily hear it throughout multiple roomsdownsides not loud enough for more than about 20-25 feet away, as you are outside the sound gets lost, you cannot change the charging battery and this one is a big one for me cause these rechargeable speakers go fast if you constantly use them, you do not know when it is fully charged, yes you can hook up a mic but the sound of it is not processed so the sound is not that great, and as you increase the volume so that you can be heard the speaker distorts as the volume increases, the speaker fuzzes up really fast, imagine that this volume control goes from 1-10 whereby 1 is a low volume and 10 being maximal sound output, at around a 4/10 the speaker begins to demonstrate it's weakness on microphone mode, and after the 5-6 volume mark the speaker has a distorted sound and at 10 (max volume) you have a vocalist or a guitar with distortion.
