This unit has a very loud and very frequent alarm that seems to go off for no apparent reason

The outlets on the surge protector side do not work unless you use the software to do a self-test

This time, the BE750G was still going on strong after 5 minutes when the power came back on

A receiver I had plugged in to this unit was damaged after a lightning strike while surge "protected".

The BE750G was very easy to set up and the associated PowerChute software installed without incident

I turned off the master/slave feature since I don't need it.

Didn't realize there was a master plug that others worked off of.

Fanless design, surge protection for cable, master / slave outlets turns off accessories when I power down the PC.

If/when you have a power outage, it automatically kicks in to supply up to 15 or 20 minutes of continued power to your computer as well as to such ancillary things as a printer, a modem, etc..
