A nice feature is the digital display which shows you some operating parameters as well as a count of power interruption events.

Love the new feature that disables the alarm when power goes off.

The display panel shows the load on the UPS which is a useful feature.

but it's annoying as much for having to press the button as it is for losing a feature that the old one did well and wouldn't have have been hard to do for this one too.

I considered the equivalent Cyberpower model, but it appears at the time of my purchase the APC is the better value, and it looks like the AVR functionality is a little better on the APC with both overvoltage and undervoltage protection.

In my philosophy, the more information I have the better off I am, so I love the LCD display, which lets me keep track of how much battery time I have at my current load, the voltage being output, etc

I like the display that shows time left on battery use, power in, and power out

The UPS has an LED display letting you know how much current is going through your system

But my last purchase failed by killing my land phone line for 2 days until I found that the problem was in the BR1000g

Five outlets have surge protection only and five have surge protection and power backup

I really like that there are outlets that only have surge protection and do not drain the battery.

It's good because it's a good UPS, bad because the replacement battery cost almost as much as the new unit.

I replaced a failing APC UPS which was about 12 years old

About a month after purchasing this UPS, it started giving alarms about failed battery tests.

The unit looks and feels very nice, but this chirping is so distracting that I can't use it right now.

There is one major flaw with this APC, it makes an annoying noise every 4 seconds.

It has a loud clicking noise, but for me that is a non-issue

ONI'm using this UPS to power an iMac 27inch Retina, (3) external 4TB hard drives, an Airport Extreme WiFi router and a cable modem.
