iPhones traditionally have poor battery performance and really were more consumer driven despite all the apps available
Oh, and for good measure my favorite apps are: xfinnity, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon videos, fios, amazon, YouTube, family guy, xbox glass, playstation, my bank apps
I've used competitive android products and this is still the easiest to use if you like apps and aren't tied to the Google infrastructure.
Apps iPhone comes with more useful app than Galaxy comes with more apps that I never used and couldn't remove (to save on storage space)

the phone itself looked to be in perfect condition no scratches or cracks on the screen but the screen itself would not work I am assuming I may have just got a faulty

Cannot recommend since as tech has evolved, the need for top line video and cameras becomes a must, as well as speed and reliability, in addition to use for SFDC and many Google Apps integrations
The only better phone cameras out there (in Android) are Galaxy s6 and LG G4

When I contacted Apple Care they said warranty ran out almost a month before - looks like the seller had a purchase date of almost a month back
I despised the small screen on the iPhone 5 even though we all wanted the smaller and sleeker version, the bigger screen has won me over.
Still loved the Note for it's pen features, but felt myself using that less and less and just gravitated to the larger great resolution screen and the fact that being Google oriented, it worked well with Google Now and Google Apps
I relied on a cheaper screen protector and case and both failed.
