Is the eventual dark color actually "Saddle Brown", no, it is not (Google "saddle brown leather")?It of course fits perfectly, it's easy to hold, and I hope when dropped it affords some protection.

It fits nice and snug with no wiggle room and provides durable protection without adding a lot of extra bulk

Obviously doesn't have the best drop protection but that's what I have the other case for

so I bought it with the plans of returning the Best Buy case

When I received it I compared the amazon case with the Best Buy and the difference was very noticeable

I had bought a saddle brown leather case at Best Buy for $50+tax

Also the amazon case was flimsy and way thinner than the Best Buy case

This is the cover I always use in my iphone if you like a cover that's not very bulky this cover barely add some bulk to the phone and the Feeling in my hand is great what can i say awesome cover amazing product by apple

Dropped my phone with one of these on it down an elevator shaft....still works!!!

However, a week later I dropped my phone a few feet onto a hardwood floor and cracked the lcd (not the glass) in the corner of my phone

It is very thin and would not protect my phone very well on a drop

I’ve dropped my phone 4 or 5 times and have not so much as scratched it.

So, yes, leather ages and darkens especially with oils (from your hand), but in about a year or so after I bought this beautiful leather cover, it is an almost black leather cover

In about a month mine has gotten a dark brown leather look, vintage.

It scratched up the leather a little on the back but the phone was perfect.

The color of the leather is perfect and ages nicely with time

The cosmos blue color is just beautiful and this case just feels premium when you touch it

I really like this color because 1) it's not black, and 2) as it gets darker from hand oils and being carried, it's not TOO noticeable and still looks good

I am a little more cautious when removing phone from pocket as I feel I am going to loose grip and it will drop.
