Reviews around use (5.00 of 5)

  • Just purchased a used 2nd gen shuffle (like my own) for him for $40 from that other site - I noticed they have used ones on this site for similar prices as well.
  • The iTunes has yet to produce an error message, so I will be glad when I no longer use RhapsodyToGo
  • This disappoints me, because the Shuffle is capable of decent playback quality when used with a good source file, and like agreed upon above, the included 'phones are not exciting
  • I won this product as a prize, so I'm getting used to how I can make it work for me
  • I have been a loyal ipod shuffle use for years and bought the new style to replace the 2nd-generation version that I had simply worn out

Reviews around lot (5.00 of 5)

  • He is enjoying a lot with the model as it is very light weight and tiny to carry
  • It would be a lot user friendly to use, if the control functions were simple buttons to push
  • I have a lot of Apple products and they work flawlessly.

Reviews around idea (5.00 of 5)

  • This is usually harder for electronics because most stores like walmart, won't let you open it in the store, but heading to an Apple store is the best idea, or buy it from somewhere that has a good return policy
  • I think I like my idea better - although I have been an Apple product fan for almost a decade I will no longer purchase Apple products nor purchase music through the iTunes Store.
  • Apple's idea is perfection, their execution is pitiful.

Reviews around music (5.00 of 5)

  • an using them on the Shuffle; I can make them in a minute and keep the Shuffle full of workout ready music.
  • All in all this Shuffle is not a workable music player, and not up to Apple's stunningly good design standards for its other consumer electronics..
  • I just use the shuffle setting and enjoy the music.

Reviews around money (4.16 of 5)

  • I have learned and won't waste my money on this product again.
  • I'll try to chill and remember the days of Walkmans, but really, this cost good money and you should save yours
  • I don't ever write reviews, but was compelled after feeling so frustrated with the wasted time and money to make the shuffle useful.
  • So why should we have to seek additional hardware - spending our valuable time and money in the process - to compensate for Apple's lack of thought
  • With a tapstick and decent earbuds this is still not as good as the gen 2, don't waste your money.

Reviews around sound (4.16 of 5)

  • The Shuffle has always been one of the better-sounding MP3 players out there
  • I think it is a better model than the previous generations, the battery seems to last longer, the sound is a bit better, the appearance is much better.
  • they do make sweat and even under water earphones but the sound is terrible.
  • You know, if you load this new shuffle with songs and adjust the volume using the headphones that come with it, you get pretty good sound
  • On the rare occasion when I use this to play music, I'm struck by the great sound coming out of this little wonder

Reviews around player (4.03 of 5)

  • All in all this Shuffle is not a workable music player, and not up to Apple's stunningly good design standards for its other consumer electronics..
  • But judging from what I've been hearing from many other users of the shuffle, there is inherently a design flaw in the headset -- it clearly doesn't handle amounts of moisture/perspiration you would expect for people working out with the device, which is arguably one of the very purposes of making such a small, portable player
  • Why buy the Apple's cheapest mp3 player
  • Do $20 Sony portable CD players have $150 Shure headphones included

Reviews around size (3.86 of 5)

  • They're simply the perfect size for that and are relatively cheap to replace if they get damaged during the workout.
  • Another issue is the awkward size of the device.
  • The device itself is a great size; however, you have to use special headphone with if you want to adjust the volume or skip songs
  • Well, the small size of this new shuffle is great but the controls being in the headphone cord is just awful.

Reviews around shuffle (3.41 of 5)

  • then i buy an adapter for it and the shuffle stops working.
  • We purchased it to use with a component stereo (via a mini stereo cord)... but this shuffle is also useless for that purpose.
  • It's came on time, I have one already, but' this iPod shuffle 2 is the best, next to put' music in it..
  • Don't waste your money - I'm holding out for Apple to come out with a better next generation shuffle.
  • You can only control the stupid shuffle with these headphones too.

Reviews around ipod (3.04 of 5)

  • so I could have a small and portable iPod for the gym without worrying about arm band cases, or damage to the larger, pricier, and more fragile iPod classic
  • I'm not an apple hater, I loved my 2nd generation ipod shuffle (which when it died i nearly punched a whole in my wall), and my classic ipod has been great as well.
  • I bought this iShuffle to replace it, and to avoid carrying around a more expensive iPod (which I was told by an Apple rep should not be used for running, because that's how the big ones break)
  • Type "Apple 3G iPod Shuffle Headphone Problems" into Google.
  • We have the classic ipod, 2nd generation ipod shuffle, and iphone - all excellent products.

Reviews around product (3.03 of 5)

  • I won this product as a prize, so I'm getting used to how I can make it work for me
  • You knew these Shuffles weren't working right, but you still continue to market them as a great product....
  • Try and find a used 2nd gen shuffle if you really want a great product to run with.
  • Honestly, I don't even understand how Apple could make such a crappy product
  • What arrogant product manager at apple thought this would fly?

Reviews around quality (2.12 of 5)

  • It has great sound quality and is light weight for running.
  • The headphones are uncomfortable, fall out, and produce poor sound quality
  • The first is practical: the adaptors are generally of poor quality and have a tendency to fall apart, even with light use
  • I find the quality to be somewhat poor, but I also don't expect them to be great, either
  • I left the other stars up there because the player itself actually produces good quality sound).

Reviews around apple (2.05 of 5)

  • Apple, I love my iPhone and my Macbook but this design is terrible
  • I can't believe that Apple would make such a simple goof
  • As always, APPLE is best, i personally dont like the sound quality that much compared to NOKIA
  • Apple has a engineering flaw with this product that they apparently refuse to fix.
  • I don't even want to think what "cool" innovation apple will try to convince us we need next

Reviews around headphone (2.02 of 5)

  • The headphones fall out with moderate exercise, particularly in the left ear
  • I hate the Apple headphones anyway, I use Sony WDR-08, they're much more comfortible, but they dont work with the new shuffle.2
  • This wasn't a big deal since you can buy a new headphone set at Walgreens, a standard inexpensive headphone set will work.
  • As many others here have said, the headphones are worthless for use during exercise.
  • You are forced to use the crummy headphones provided, which i hate, to operate it at all.

Reviews around unit (1.00 of 5)

  • I hate this unit, and may put it up on eBay for .99 cents.
  • As other reviewers state, the unit and headphones become inoperable after any amount of sweat.
  • I like to use my own headphones, so this unit is basically unusable
  • Mine is sitting unused at home - I would much rather carry the bigger iPhone to the gym than try to deal with this poorly designed unit.
