The colors are brilliant, the resolution is excellent for something this close to your eyes when you are working and the lack of any setup is of paramount importance for me

I did try the DELL Ultrasharp and it was not as easy to use with MAC and had issue with the display blanking out on me randomly and had to adjust display settings to get it the right resolution and color temp.

Quite bulky, still graceful.- Superb if you own a Mac laptop, you can easily connect and disconnect almost everything with 2 cables- Image quality is good, from what I've read you can find cheaper wide gamut displays, same resolution with far better image quality for photography editing (NEC PA271W for instance)

I feel like it is missing some modern features for a $1000 monitor, for one the resolution is pretty bad when its sitting next to a retina MBP's display, for another it still doesn't have any USB 3.0 ports, which is a huge bummer

It's just so good to be able to see many things at once (like having the Address Book and Calendar open at the same time and being able to see all of both) as well as high-resolution photos, movies on the whole screen, big spreadsheets, big web pages and so on

using with desktop imac will provide better resolution than with apple mac laptop, but both are excellent... certainly the best alternative for having an external 27" display on your macbook
