The mounts that come with the GoPro do a pretty good job for mounting the camera in the car, but I wanted a handle bar mount for my bike, as I do not enjoy things hanging off my helmet

Listen, when your out on the trail do you really want to look down and see your mount not doing it's job or worse, your GoPro or action camera came loose from it's original position or even fell off
If you use this item with your GoPro, make sure to use other means of keeping your GoPro secured to prevent it from falling
Holds up well, feels sturdy and there's no way you'll lose your gopro unless you back out both screws completely, or if the whole thing shatters
I now secure GoPro with additional hook/cord when using this item.
