The pictures that we do get are not clear enough to make out important details such as a license plate number.

The picture quality is pretty good, i like that you can downgrade quality for batterlife especially for the locations you dont need impeccable picture.

I reviewed over 10 types and settled on the ARLO Pro for what I perceived as high quality for a reasonable price

Installation was breeze and setup with out of box default schedule for ARM and motion settings

so I decided to contact the company tech support over the phone, boy I was waiting on the phone listening the message for 45

I called NetGear and talked to tech support who agreed after trying to troubleshoot it that I had a bad camera

Tech support is TERRIBLE, not particularly fluent in English, and virtually no help

Tech support is in India and there are some language issues which caused this mix-up

It is a major disappointment with the tech support after spending this amount of money

In addition their customer support is baseless very hard to get hold of someone and when you do it is a foreign call center that takes 15 minutes of spelling out my email address just to get past the first step

We have had multiple issues with this camera and the customer support is not good

I spent weeks online with customer support and got so frustrated with them I stopped answering their emails

Contacted customer support to change my credit card number

The one star review is primarily for the terrible customer support.

The camera works good, my only issue is the small delay between "Sensing" the motion and actually recording, but not much to do there.

After that disaster the base station would keep disconnecting from the server, Many times I would check my cameras the system would be offline, called support spent an hour on the phone with them, resetting the base station and reconnecting the cameras, same issue after the support call

but I feel like that is an issue you will have with any manufacturer.

But in may opinion the most important feature of these cameras is recoding what you want to record.

One of the best features is the siren, which I think takes this to the next level in terms of home protection
